• Last Day of School is a Minimum Day - It is hard to believe that the end of the school year is almost here. I understand that there’s been some confusion about this week’s schedule. Please note that Monday and Wednesday are minimum days with dismissal at 12:58pm, while Tuesday will follow a regular schedule with normal dismissal time at 2:18pm.
• Yearbooks are Still on SALE! Don't miss out on the memories! Our Mission Meadows yearbooks are still on sale for just $10.A limited number of yearbooks are still available in the front office

• Lost and Found - We need your help. Please look around your house to make sure your child has all of their jackets, sweatshirts, and sweaters. There is some really nice items that have been left out at our school during recess, and we really would like them to find their way home to their rightful home. Any item not collected by the last day will be donated to a local charity.

• Come Join us at Tony Pepperoni to celebrate the end of the school year! Mark your calendars and join us for a fun and festive way to wrap up the school year! We’re heading to Tony Pepperoni on the last day of school to celebrate together. There’s no better way to kick off summer than by sharing some delicious pizza and great company with our Mission Meadows community! We hope to see you there!

• Transitional Kindergarten and Kindergarten registration is now open. If you have a 4-5 year old child and you have not yet reached out to Mission Meadows to get them registered for the 2024-25 school year. Please stop by our office for necessary information and procedures.

Each year, we take great pride in celebrating our students' accomplishments at the grade-level End-of-Year Assemblies. These events recognize students for their achievements in reading, leadership, attendance, and many other areas. Please see the End of Year Report highlighting some of what's been going on in the Counseling Department! I was blessed to have a part time intern this year which allowed me to cover more ground, thanks to Sonia Bribiesca! While I have been a VUSD Counselor for 7 years, she was a huge support as I navigated my first year in elementary and allowed me to be in "two places at once" at times. Thank you all for a very successful 2025 CAASPP assessment season. As we wrap up the school year, we are pleased to share that we have begun to receive student score reports. Families of 3rd -5th grade students may view individual student score reports in Parent Portal within the Test Scores section under State Test Scores Reports. Many score reports are already available, and we anticipate that all reports will be received and available by late June. Thank you for your support and encouragement as your children completed these important assessments this year. If you have questions about accessing these through the parent portal, please call our office for assistance.

Now that summer is almost here, what are you going to do to keep your children busy and occupied? I hope you have a lot of fun things plans with your family and friends. I also wanted to let you know that just because it is summer, it does not mean your child should stop reading on a regular basis. I encourage you to go and visit the local library and find some fun books to read. I also want to let you know that most of the summer educational programs will remain available to your child through your child's login if they want to keep their learning going. But no matter what, enjoy this time of sleeping in (if you can) and relaxing. We will see you all back in August!

As we wrap up another incredible school year, we want to take a moment to celebrate the outstanding efforts of our students in following our Five Behavior Expectations for all Mission Meadows Leaders:

Our students have done a marvelous job living out these expectations every day, and we hope you've heard this same positive language at home. We encourage you to continue reinforcing these values by using this shared language when talking with your children.

We’re proud to share that in a recent evaluation of our PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) program:
✅ 100% of our students could clearly state our Five Behavior Expectations
✅ Over 85% of students earned a Blue Slip for being “caught” demonstrating these positive behaviors!

Please take a moment to ask your child when they last received a Blue Slip and what they did to earn it—it’s a great opportunity to celebrate their positive choices. Thank you for your continued support in helping us nurture a safe, respectful, and caring school community. Together, we’re building leaders for life!

Enrollment for the 2025-2026 school year is opened and it is continuous, but we encourage you not to wait to register your child.

Kindergarten: Birthdate between 09/02/2019-09/01/2020.

Transitional Kindergarten: Birthdate between 09/02/2020-09/01/2021.*

For 2025-26 Grade Level Placement Guidelines click here.

*Students who turn 4 years old after the September 1 cutoff date are encouraged to enroll in preschool programs.

**Students already enrolled at Mission Meadows will automatically be rolled over into Kindergarten next year. No need to re-register these students.
