CMS Incoming 6th Grade Information
March 17, 2024 Update
Message from Principal Scharmann
Dear Families,
As the proud Principal of Christensen Middle School, I am delighted to extend a warm invitation to our upcoming Incoming Sixth Grade Parent Information Night. This event is a wonderful opportunity for you to get acquainted with our school community, learn more about our academic programs, and discover the exciting opportunities awaiting your child in middle school.
Date: Wednesday, March 20th, 2024
Time: 6:00 PM
During this event, our dedicated staff will provide valuable insights into our curriculum, extracurricular activities, and support services available to ensure your child's success. You'll also have the chance to ask any questions you may have and meet other families who are embarking on this journey alongside you.
We understand that transitioning to middle school can be both thrilling and daunting, and we're here to support you every step of the way. Together, we'll ensure that your child's middle school experience is enriching, engaging, and fulfilling.
We look forward to welcoming you and your family to this special event. Please mark your calendars and join us on Wednesday, March 20th, at 6:00 PM.
I look forward to getting to know each of you and working together to prepare your students to start middle school.
Best wishes,
Brian Scharmann
Principal, Christensen Middle School
Message from the CMS PTA
Christensen PTA
Welcome incoming 6th grade families! We are thrilled you'll be joining us at CMS in the Fall! While our PTA Board is very active, supporting the staff and students at CMS, our involvement looks very different from the PTA you might be familiar with at the elementary level. Since we aren't in classrooms, or even on campus very often, our primary focus is raising money. The funds we raise are allocated to school programs used by teachers, teacher grants, to fund the honor roll ice cream treats (3x/school year), the all-school end of the year treat, as well as anything else that helps offset school costs throughout the year. Occasionally, we need parent volunteers as well. Our CMS PTA is only as strong as its board and members, so please consider becoming a part of our community. We also still have a few board roles left to fill. Without these vital roles, our board will not be able to continue. No experience is necessary, and you will be trained. If you are the slightest bit interested, please email cmscougarspta@gmail.com.
