This week in council we reviewed feedback on class forums. Our next meeting will be Monday, 3/17 at 3:00 in the Info Center.

Information about state testing (NH SAS for science and SAT) was sent to 11th grade families on March 14. See here for more information.

10th grade students will take the PSAT 10 on April 9th also. More detailed communication will be going out to 10th grade students and families next week.

A Language of Dragons

The next Senior Project panel will take place in two weeks! Panel meetings will take place after school on Thursday the 27 and seniors need to share their pre-panel reflection letters with their panel by Tuesday, March 25. This is the third of our four panel meetings so seniors should be well on their way to completing many of the required competencies by this time. On Wednesday, April 9th, seniors will have a Senior Project workday that will coincide with juniors taking the SATs. If a senior is not currently passing Senior Project, they are expected to attend this work day in person; all other students may work at home. More information on this will be coming soon. Presentations will take place on Thursday, May 29, and Friday, May 30. Parents must notify Senior Project Coordinators Ryan Lemieux and Kathy Maddock (rlemieux@sau39.org or kmaddock@sau39.org) about possible scheduling conflicts by completing this form by Friday April 11th.

What is your role at Souhegan?

Budget and Data Analyst - all things PowerSchool and Finance!

How long have you been with Souhegan?

This is my 4th year at Souhegan, and my 9th year being a part of SAU 39.

What do you love about your job?

My role here perfectly blends my past experiences, and I really enjoy being part of such a talented, passionate, and fun team. The students at Souhegan are incredible, and it's incredibly rewarding to see the impact of our efforts in preparing them for life beyond high school. I didn't love high school myself, and never imagined I'd end up working at one, but this really is the perfect place for me and has been my favorite job so far!

What do you like to do outside of work?

I spend my time recharging outside of work by gardening (in the warm months) and my favorite flowers are dahlias. They are not always easy to grow, and they take a long time to bloom around here, but their beauty is SO worth the wait! I love running, going to concerts, traveling to new places, and listening to thrillers or true crime. I enjoy hanging out with my family and 4 cats. I am also one of the Cross Country coaches for AMS, and can't wait for the next season! I love seeing the kids grow in their confidence and skill in such a short period of time.

If you were given one wish what would it be?

There are so many places around the world that I want to visit, so free travel for life would be amazing!

Do you have a favorite quote or mantra?

Fail Forward - don't be afraid to make mistakes and learn from them! There's no such thing as a failure who keeps trying.
