Message from the Principal
“We have before us the glorious opportunity to inject a new dimension of love into the veins of our civilizations.” ~Martin Luther King, Jr.
In honor of the vision and leadership of Martin Luther King, Jr., we enjoy this three-day weekend. The photo above was taken during our November trip to Washington, DC, when Mrs. Morris, RMS counselor Mrs. Deans, and I stood in awe at this magnificent statue, reflecting on the impact of MLK's words and actions on our own personal lives and in the call to action as educators. In the different grade levels, students study the work and words of MLK each January, and I hope that these lessons stay fresh and relevant throughout the year as students face challenges and find non-violent responses and ultimately, a way to "inject a new dimension of LOVE into the veins of our civilizations." I am full of hope as our students practice service to others and generosity of spirit in our school-based service projects and beyond Argonaut. I invite you to engage your children in a conversation or visit the library to read about MLK and find a service opportunity this weekend or in the near future.
