St. Petronille Catholic School
A Note from Mr. Schmidt
What a wonderful week to get us in the Christmas spirit! Our Kindergarten through 3rd Grade students delivered a stunning performance at our annual Christmas Concert last night, singing their hearts out for a packed Church of families and friends. And, yes, to all those wondering, the night did feature "Little Donkey"! I want to express my gratitude to everyone who attended the wonderful night, but especially to Mr. Coyle and our K-3 teachers who made the night happen through their preparation and organization of the students. Thank you to all who made the occasion a truly special night.
Next week is our last one before Christmas Break and is filled with plays, parties, and fun as we enjoy the Advent season! Just like last year, St. Petronille will be hosting a Santa Shop and it will be open in the PLC from Monday through Wednesday next week. All classes will have some assigned times to shop and experience the Santa Shop during the first half of the week. Thursday, 12/19, is listed as an out-of-uniform pass day, and Friday, 12/20, will be a "red and green" out-of-uniform day for students as well. Please keep in mind that we dismiss at 11:30 AM on Friday, 12/20!
While it seems crazy, we are already making plans for the 25-26 school year! Next week families will receive information about reenrollment for 25-26 through FACTS as well as how to submit applications for new students to our school!
Please reach out with any questions that you have and if there is any way I can better support your family during this Christmas season.
God bless,
Eric Schmidt

Ho, Ho, Ho the Christmas Drive is a GO!
School parents are sponsoring an independent Christmas Drive for our teachers during the holiday season!
In years past, our school PO has shouldered a significant tax burden to ensure the teachers at our school got a nice gift from the community for the holiday season. Since that situation is not tenable to repeat every year, parents have come together to collect money via Gift Crowd.
Please know that this drive is meant to be a way to collect funds that families planned to spend on teacher gifts into one pot to ensure an equitable distribution of money raised as opposed to a fundraiser for school operating and capital needs. Thank you for keeping our school teachers and staff in mind this holiday season!
Robotics Team Competition
Any interested students and parents are welcome to attend St. Pets' first internal Robotics Competition on Wednesday, 12/18, at 7:30 PM in the school gym. The Robotics Team is open to 6th-8th grade students, so we hope to see some 5th graders who may be interested in joining the team next year! Also, please keep an eye out for the Programming enrichment club for 3rd-5th graders this Spring.
