Digital Device Policy for Standardized Testing
Please read the following information about digital devices during standardized testing.
Digital devices are NOT allowed in the testing room at any time during the standardized testing. Digital devices are defined as anything that can capture, store, relay, or receive electronic information. This includes, but is not limited to the following; laptops, smart phones, smart watches, fitness trackers, MP3 players, and tablets. We suggest that all devices be left in a car or locker on the morning of testing. If that is not an option, students can place their powered off device in the bucket that the test administrator will have before the students enters the testing room. Please DO NOT wear your apple watches, fitbits, etc. to school on the day of testing if you are taking the test. This will be strictly enforced.
Any student found to be in possession of a digital device that is within their reach during the administration of the test, the device will be confiscated and could be subject to search if there is suspicion that the device was used to capture, record, or share test information or facilitate cheating on the test. Additionally, the student will be dismissed from testing immediately, and the test may be invalidated in accordance with test security policy.
Disciplinary action may be taken for any student violating the digital device policy.

PreACT & WorkKeys
Tuesday, October 22, Sophomores will be taking the PreACT. This is a required state assessment. Seniors will be taking the WorkKeys test on the same day. This is also a required state assessment. 9th and 11th grade students will have an E-Learning day. All sophomores and seniors will need to be at school at regular time. Tardy bell will ring at 7:45.
Important Check In and Checkout Procedures - please read!
Check In/Tardy and Checkout Procedures
All students that are tardy, checking-in to school or checking out of school MUST GO THROUGH THE FRONT OFFICE. We have a new finger scan system in place (very similar to the lunchroom finger scan system) where each student will scan in or out with check-in/check-outs and tardies.
A parent, guardian, or someone on your check-out list MUST sign you out of school to checkout. This is the same as always. The student must then go through the office to scan out before leaving. This procedure must be followed.
We do not accept over the phone checkouts. Please do not call the school for a checkout. Someone on the students checkout list must come and sign the student out of school.
Please remember how important attendance at school is! Please don't checkout of school unless absolutely necessary. If you are absent, please turn excuses in to front office.
Remember....
Students are not allowed to exit the building to go to your car, even if you forgot something you really need! If you need something, you have to go through the office and an admin or SRO will escort you to your vehicle. Disciplinary consequence will apply if you do not follow these procedures!
This will be enforced!
