Students have been doing an AMAZING job adjusting to this year's orchestra routines as well as the norms of in-person learning with over 3K students on campus. Everyone continues to show excitement for learning and is working towards our program goals for the year of Commitment and Tone. I can't wait to see the progress students make this year with their love for learning and hard work!

One of our immediate goals is to be in the room and ready to begin tuning when the bell rings. The students have show a great hustle, and even those with classes far away have begun to find efficient routes through the school and working with their colleagues to get their equipment ready to go. If you need help making a plan to get to class on time, please reach out to the directors. We want to help you succeed!

Each student is expect to develop a regular practice routine outside of class time. This is imperative for students to fulfill their potential and have the most positive experience. Check out the video below for why and how to practice effectively!

If students are having trouble remembering to get their instrument at the end of the day or getting to their bus in time, talk to the directors. We are here to help you come up with a great plan of action!

We are in need of a flatbed trailer and truck as well as a parent volunteer to pull the BHS Orchestra float in the Homecoming Parade on September 22. If you are able to help us, PLEASE email Lopes ASAP.

We will vote in class on the orchestra shirt design for the year.
