Beginning in June, when LOSD receives its City permit, traffic on Jean Road will be impacted by lane closures. Traffic flaggers will be present. Improvements to Jean Road will include:

Undergrounding all electrical and telecommunications utilities & new tie-in to city utilities
New street lights and sidewalks
Temporary relocation of the crosswalk for the 2019-2020 school year from Schalit Way to Hill Way
A flashing crosswalk signal will be added at the crosswalk
Temporary sidewalks will be provided for pedestrian traffic between Central Avenue and Bryant Road
Total work is expected to take 4 months
What is a good detour during that time?
Bryant and either Lakeview or Boones Ferry around the north side
Pilkington, Childs and Bryant around the south side

SafeOregon
If parents are ever concerned about a student’s well-being, feel free to reach out to your principal. It is important to keep your lines of communication open and maintain strong partnerships between students, families, staff, and other resources.
SafeOregon is also an effective way to report a tip regarding safety threats or potential acts of violence to our students or schools.
(Students should also know that intentionally providing a false report is a serious offense.)
