PRE-LAW UPDATES AND OPPORTUNITIES
SPRING 2025 Volume I
Welcome to Our Pre-Law Updates
Dear JHU Pre-Law Community,
Happy New Year and welcome to Spring 2025! As the cherry blossoms prepare to bloom around our beautiful Homewood campus, I hope this semester brings renewed energy and clarity to your pre-law journey. Whether you're just beginning to explore legal careers or finalizing your law school applications, remember what Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg once said: "Whatever you choose to do, leave tracks. That means don't do it just for yourself. You will want to leave the world a little better for your having lived."
The start of a new year is the perfect time to reflect on your goals and aspirations. As William O. Douglas wisely noted, "The law is not a series of calculating machines where answers come tumbling out when you insert the problem."
Rather, it's a path that requires dedication, critical thinking, and passion – qualities that I see every day in our Hopkins pre-law students.
This semester, we have an exciting lineup of events and opportunities to help you explore your interest in law, from LSAT preparation workshops to networking sessions with distinguished JHU alumni in the legal field.
As we embark on this spring semester, our door is always open for advising appointments. Whether you're wrestling with LSAT preparation strategies, crafting your personal statement, or simply exploring if law school is the right path for you, the Pre-Law Advising Office is here to support your journey.
Don't forget to mark your calendars for our upcoming events, and make sure you're following our Instagram (@hopkinsprelaw) to stay connected with opportunities and announcements.
