Dear Wiggin Street Families,

It's been a very short week for students! Luckily, our Outback Ray PBIS Reward Assembly could be rescheduled for next Friday. We are all looking forward to it and grateful that it could be rescheduled. Report cards were also to come home on Friday, so you can expect them on Monday.

Middle of the Year Assessments are being done this month as well as the Math-a-thon being underway. Don't forget that Pledge Envelopes are due on Monday, but no money is collected yet. Students will be taking the Math-a-thon Medley this week which is just a series of Math review questions. This is definitely something for fun and should not be stressful for students. Please see below ways that you can donate recyclables for the Makerspace Reward.

Our staff guesses each year the date of the first snow day, and Mrs. Phillips won the snow day basket this year. It has been an interesting month with the weather, but we try to make the best of it! Congratulations, Mrs. Phillips!

If you can save these items and send them to school by the end of February, we would appreciate it!

This quarter's PBIS Reward Event will be an assembly with Outback Ray. The event is now the afternoon of January 26th, and students need 50 PBIS points to attend. We hope all students can attend!

Also, we use ‘Instant Connect Alerts’ as our closings and delays notification system which is how you probably received this Parent Update. If not, please make sure you have signed up at Instant Connect portal.

• Temperature and wind chill. Temperature and/or sustained wind chills at or below -10F during peak pick-up times for buses and walking times for students are given special consideration.

Lastly, if school is on a 2-hour delay, we will start school at 11:00 am with drop-off beginning at 10:40. Lunch will always be pizza on delay days, and no breakfast will be served.

School fees are assessed and must be paid every school year. Elementary school fees are $30 per student. You can pay by credit card or bank draft on-line using the PayForIt.net website, or you can pay by sending a check, cash or money order at Wiggin Street School or the MVCSD Board Office.
