Family Newsletter
August 2024
Principal Message
Greetings Mini Makers Families:
As we approach the start of the year, we’re filled with excitement and joy to welcome our youngest learners to their first school experience. It’s natural for our families to feel a mix of excitement and nervousness. Rest assured, our experienced teachers and staff are prepared to make this transition as smooth and enjoyable as possible.
Let’s get ready for new experiences! Here are a couple of things our families can do to prepare their children for success:
* Set consistent bedtimes and wake-up times.
* Practice dressing independently.
* Encourage self-help skills like opening/closing back packs.
* Read books together.
These small steps can make a significant difference in your child’s confidence and readiness.
Within this newsletter, you will find useful information as you prepare for the school year. One thing I wish to highlight is our Parent Advisory Committee (PAC). Our PAC was successful last year with bringing our families together. We want to continue to give community building opportunities to our families this year. During our Meet the Teacher Night on Wednesday, August 28th , we will have a sign-up station for you. Also, let us know if you are interested in volunteering during the school day. Please connect with your child’s teacher if interested.
You are receiving a lot of information from us this summer. If you have any questions or
concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact the office. We are here to help you.
See you soon!

Donate Your Egg Cartons!
Do you have extra empty egg cartons? St. Joseph Food Program purchases eggs in bulk and then repackages them into used egg cartons to give out to their needy families (preferable size is 12 eggs but will also take the 18 egg size).
Last year was our first year collecting empty egg cartons and it was a HUGE success!
Simply send your empty cartons in your child's backpack and we will get them to the office for collection!
