SEPTEMBER
Greenacres Elementary Newsletter
From the Principals Desk
Roadrunner Families,
This week at GES we are able to have our first fire drill on Thursday the 19th. Everything went smoothly and efficiently. Safety drills are always an important part of school as they help ensure that we are prepared for any emergency that may arise. However, with that said, I know that these can often be a scary experience for our students. I have included a great resource from the ALICE institute that can be something you share with your student about safety drills.
I have included this portion again in our newsletter just as a second opportunity to glance over the new cellular device policy. The Eastern Learning Community has established a policy around the use of cellular devices at school. Here at Greenacres we are adopting that same policy. Please see the letter that explains that new policy here. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask.
Thanks and have a wonderful weekend!
