A Message from Dr. Malinoski, Superintendent of Schools
Hello Cedar Families,
As we enter November, it’s a wonderful time to reflect on gratitude. We are so grateful for your partnership in supporting your child’s education and the ways you help make our district strong. This month, I want to share a few ways to connect with your child’s learning and stay engaged with our Cedar community.
At the end of the month, we’ll hold parent-teacher conferences for our students in grades PK-8. These conferences are an invaluable opportunity to connect with teachers, learn more about your child’s progress, and discuss ways we can all support their growth. We hope you’ll join us to strengthen the home-school connection that makes such a difference in student success.
For our high school families, November is also a time to focus on our students’ involvement. From clubs and sports to community service, our students are making a meaningful impact. We encourage you to support your high schooler in these activities—they are an important part of learning and personal development.
This month's newsletter also includes some important highlights:
- A link to buy Cedar gear to show your school spirit.
- Information about inclement weather days to help you prepare.
- Registering for a PowerSchool parent account.
- Details on career opportunities within our district and with our transportation provider.
Thank you for being an essential part of our Cedar family!! Together, we’re creating a learning environment where each student can thrive and achieve their best.
With Cedar Pride,
Nicole L. Malinoski, Ed.D.

PowerSchool Parent/Guardian Access
The Lebanon School District is committed to strengthening the bond between parents and families. We believe this bond begins with excellent communication, which is the heart of successful organizations. PowerSchool is the student information system used in the district by teachers, counselors and administrators to manage student data. Parents/Guardians use their account to view their child(ren)'s grades and attendance.
If you do not have a PowerSchool Parent Account, please fill out the information listed in the link below and we will send detailed instructions to the confirmed email address, allowing you to view data for your child(ren).
Cedar Closet
The Cedar Closet is a resource for students in our district that provides clothing and hygiene items for those in need. What we have available to share is dependent on our donations and current supplies. Typically, we try to offer several changes of clothes and shoes per student. We also offer hygiene items like toothbrushes and toothpaste, soap and deodorant. Please contact the social workers at 717-273-9391 extensions 6925, 6926 and 6927 for assistance.
Inclement Weather, Snow Days, FID Days!
In other words, for the first two days the district closes due to inclement weather, schools will be closed and students will not work online from home as the instructional days will be made up.
If the district needs additional weather make-up days beyond these two, then we will transition to Flexible Instructional Days (FID). On FID days, students will complete work at home and receive credit for the day. Please click on the link below to learn more about FID days.
Cedar Chats: Coffee, Community, and Collaboration
In October, our district began holding meetings for parents and guardians to continue to foster the importance of collaboration and support of our students. Our next Cedar Chat is coming to a school near you!!
We will meet our Harding parent/guardians on Friday, November 22, 2024 from 9:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m.
Please stop by and participate in our partnership! All are welcome!!

Student Transit Cards
All Lebanon School District students are eligible to apply for a Lebanon Transit student fare card and ride the bus for $1.00. Students will need to complete a brief application and verify school enrollment (student photo ID, a letter signed by the school, or student fare card from the previous academic year). Once the application is approved and the fare card is received, students can board a Lebanon Transit fixed route bus, present their student fare card, and pay the reduced fare of $1.00.
