Spring Break is nearly upon us and there is much for our WHS students and staff to look forward to during our final trimester of the 21-22 school year. See all the details below!

REVISED 2021-2022 SCHOOL CALENDAR:

Due to the use of two emergency snow days, the last day of school for students has changed to May 27, 2022. Please note that the master calendar has now been updated to reflect this change.

Please note, the last day with students will now be Friday, May 27th. This will also be the day for classroom parties including the The Fifth Grade Farewell!

The Jesse White Tumblers are coming to WHS -- Friday 3/25

The amazing WHS PTA has secured the Jesse White Tumblers for "in-person" assemblies on Friday 3/25.

There will be two shows at the following times:

1:15 - 2:00 p.m. Grades K-2, GYM
2:15- 3:00 p.m. Grades 3-5, GYM

This should be a fun way to end the day before Spring Break, especially on "Superhero" day!

I.A.R. Testing at WHS

The Illinois Assessment of Readiness testing window will be from April 6th - April 12th. Grade 3, 4, and 5 students will have two separate ELA assessments and 3 separate math assessments. The specific testing schedule is pictured below Please do not hesitate to ask your child's teacher if you have any questions!

Save the Date: Spring Open House & WHS Food Fest:

WHS FOOD FEST - THURSDAY, MAY 12th:

Our next WHS Food Fest will be on Thursday, May 12 from 5:30-7pm! WHS Spring Open House will also be held that same night. Come on out and meet the teachers, see your child’s projects and grab dinner/dessert with the family! All are welcome!

Share a Goal with Us!

WHS Spring Tree

There is a large tree painted on the wall in the LRC. For trimester 3, we are going to hang spring flowers on the tree with goals that we have met and goals we are still working towards. Students will have the opportunity to fill out a "flower" when they visit the LRC. Families can also submit ideas using this form. Your entry will be written on a leaf and added to our Spring Tree.
