Dear Osceola Community,
Weβve had a fantastic first month at school, and I wanted to take a moment to thank each of you for your hard work and dedication. From the enthusiasm of our students to the unwavering support of our parents and staff, this month has set a positive tone for the rest of the year. Let's keep up the great work as we continue to learn, grow, and achieve together.

ATTENDANCE MATTERS!
If student is absent from school, absent note should be turned into Guidance Dept upon return to school. If note is not submitted, the absence will be noted as unexcused. We encourage students to email their teachers for any assignments or missing work that needs to be addressed.
Also, absent note from parent or Physician is needed for early check-outs and tardies.
Your child's daily, on-time attendance is critical to their success in school. Students learn best when they are in the classroom. Every minute matters now more than ever.
A student is considered chronically absent if they miss only two days of school per month (18 days in a year), whether the absences are excused or unexcused. Even one year of chronic absence can cause a child to fall behind academically and decrease a child's chances of graduating from high school, which can have long-term consequences on their financial independence, physical well-being and mental health.
The good news? Attending school every day increases a child's chances of success in school and in life. βShowing Up Together!β will improve school attendance if everyone works together to ensure regular school attendance happens.
MAKING CARLINE MORE EFFICIENT
Please pull forward all the way to the end of the carline sidewalk prior to loading/unloading. Also, please do not leave large gaps between vehicles. Your help with this allows us to get everyone through the carline quickly and efficiently.

If student fails to abide to cell phone rules, the cell phone may be
confiscated for parent to pick up.
No exceptions.
Thank you for supporting the OMS cell phone policy. After only one month, our discipline data indicates less discipline referrals (specifically less incidences of bullying, misuse of electronics, and fights). Our teachers and staff also report that learners are more focused and ready to learn. Great job, Chiefs!
