Exam Schedule
Maypole moved from Monday to Wednesday (5/14)
Maypole
Maypole is a Linworth tradition of over 40 years.
Each Spring, we celebrate the shifting of the season by weaving ribbons around the flagpole through a highly choreographed dance. This year, it will happen this Wednesday.
I'm sure you remember it from your reading of Nathaniel Hawthorne's short story, "The May-Pole of Merry Mount".
Here is a video from Linworth Maypole 2011.
Online Course Options
Families have requested information about online courses students can take outside our district over the summer and/or throughout the year to make sure they are on track with credits for participation in Walkabout during their last semester at Linworth. This is a reminder Worthington accepts transfer credit from accredited programs; Treca is the most popular platform utilized by Worthington High School students: Treca
Coursework taken outside our district are considered transfer credits; the course and grade is included on the student's Worthington transcript, but does not calculate into the cumulative GPA. See Laura prior to registering for any coursework.
Interim 2026
During next year's Linworth Interim, we’re going to New York & Boston, and you’re invited!
We’re excited to tell you more about the trip we’re planning with EF Tours, our educational travel partner. Please be sure to register for this info session to be considered for this opportunity: https://rsvp.efexploreamerica.com/yx4asun
When students travel, they expand their knowledge of the world around them, discover more about themselves, and grow more confident. These skills are critical for creating the global citizens of tomorrow, and we would love to have your student join us on this adventure.
- In this info session, we’ll talk about:
- How this opportunity will benefit your student
- What we’ll see and do on our trip
- Everything that’s included in this experience
- How your child can earn academic credit
- How we’re keeping this safe and affordable
- How to enroll on this trip (before it fills up!) during EF’s risk-free enrollment period
There are limited spots on this trip, so we would love to have you attend this meeting to learn more about this exciting opportunity!

Phyte Club Update
It was a great week in the garden this week! Linworth School Community Garden was at Green on the Green on Saturday morning talking about sustainability and raising some funds. We also finished the squash trellises, laid out soaker hoses for our new water system, finished cleaning up the labyrinth and got some new plants installed in the labyrinth, herb, and flower beds. We planted two of the three sisters and added some beans and cucumbers to what is growing in the food garden. This week, we will do some harvesting of cool season crops, plant tomatoes and start other warm season plants, and finish organizing the food garden. Don't worry-- the sweet potatoes are still alive. If it stays warm, we will plant them at the last Phyte Club of the school year-- May 21st.
Phyte Club meets from 3:15- 4:15 every Monday. We gather in the Big Room and everyone is welcome. Join Us!
