This monthly newsletter will be packed with valuable information about college applications, career exploration, internship opportunities, scholarships, and more. Our goal is to provide you with the latest resources and insights to help students make informed decisions and seize new opportunities. We encourage students and families to read through the newsletter and take advantage of the resources and opportunities it highlights.

Seniors hoping to attend a college or university after graduation, now is the time to start your college applications. We recommend you submit your college applications by Thanksgiving, but some deadlines are EARLIER! Many schools use the Common App, but not all, so make sure you are researching the admission process at the schools you are most interested in attending.

You'll uncover:

• How to navigate course selection in high school
• What to do over summer and winter break
• Why extracurriculars matter and how to craft unique ones
• How to create a narrative throughout the application
• What makes a great college essay
• What admissions officers value in applications

Preview days are a great opportunities for juniors and seniors to explore their future options. Many colleges and universities offer preview days in September - November. Preview days often include campus tours and opportunities to explore academic programs and connect with faculty, staff and current students. They also often have informational sessions outlining admission and financial aid.

• Students are allowed a total of four days for college visits, armed service testing, and/or job shadowing during their junior and senior year.
• Students must provide official documentation with proof of visit, for their absence to be marked as excused.

We have heard that the 2025-2026 FAFSA application is not anticipated to open until December 1st, 2024. This is delayed from past years. We will provide a FAFSA update when official release dates are shared.
