An author is coming to Highland School!

ward-winning author Dr. Jewell Parker Rhodes will be talking about her newest book, Will's Race for Home. Jewell writes "to inspire social justice, equity, and environmental stewardship."

Fun Winter Activities For Kids!

Winter is the perfect opportunity to get in some quality family time with your kids. With the cold weather, it can be a little more challenging to keep your kids entertained, but worry not! We’ve put together a list of 9 activities to keep your youngsters happy and engaged during holiday breaks and winter weekends.

1. Build the ultimate blanket fort.

2. Learn about arctic animals.

3. Craft the perfect cup of cocoa.

Winter Reading

The Skokie Public Library is excited to share the attached digital asset about the upcoming Winter Reading program.

As in years past, there will be BINGO-style cards available in the library and on the bookmobile. Completing five in a row (across, up or down, or diagonally) earns ALL participants a winter reading button (limit 5). Completing the whole card earns Skokie residents and additional incentive, while supplies last.

New this winter, the dates for the program have been adjusted to better align with Winter Breaks.
