Brookwood Elementary Honored as Top Lifesaving School
Brookwood Elementary School is proud to announce that we have been recognized as the Top Lifesaving School and number 1 fundraiser in Gwinnett County for the 2023-2024 Kids Heart Challenge.
During the fundraiser, our amazing students, teachers, and staff raised an impressive $21,219 to support heart health. This achievement is a testament to our school's commitment to promoting healthy lifestyles and making a positive impact on our community.
We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to all who participated in the Kids Heart Challenge. Your generosity and support are invaluable.

Readers Rally: A Team for Competitive 5th Grade Readers
Calling all bookworms! Are you a 5th grader who loves to read and wants to test your knowledge? Join the brand-new Readers Rally book club!
This quiz bowl-style competition club is a great way to have fun, make new friends, and improve your reading skills. To participate, simply read an assigned book and take a short quiz on Wednesday, October 2nd in the Media Center. Those who qualify will be expected to read one book per week and practice answering questions using buzzers at weekly morning meetings.
How to Join:
- Pick up the assigned book on September 23rd from Mrs. Reynolds in the Media Center.
- Be prepared to take the quiz on Wednesday, October 2nd. Don't forget to bring your lunch and the book to the Media Center.
So, if you're ready to put your reading skills to the test and have some fun, join Readers Rally!
Five Forks Fantasy Quiz Bowl
Are you a fan of The Wild Robot, Poppy, or Captain Underpants? Then join us for the Five Forks Fantasy Quiz Bowl!
Who: Any student who has read any or all ofThe Wild Robot, Poppy, or Captain Underpants
Where: Five Forks Public Library
When: Thursday, October 3rd at 6:00 PM for 1 hour
How: Drop by the Media Center, pick up a permission slip, and return it completed. Meet Mrs. Reynolds & Mrs. Boyce at the GCPL by 5:45 PM.
Important Note: Due to limited space, only students may be invited into the room for the event.

Calling All Young Artists: The Reflections Competition is Back!
Get ready to explore your creativity! Brookwood Elementary's Reflections competition is now open to all students.
This year's theme is Accepting Imperfection. We encourage students to express themselves through visual arts, photography, literature, music composition, dance choreography, or film production.
The deadline to enter is Monday, October 7th.

All money collected from boxtops goes directly to buy PE equipment for Brookwood Elementary. September Programming at the Gwinnett County Public Library
The Five Forks branch of the Gwinnett County Public Library has released their September schedule of Kids' Programs including:
- Family Storytime - Saturday, September 21 at 10:30 am
Outdoor Movie Night at the Grove at Towne Center
Get ready for a fun-filled summer night under the stars! The City of Snellville is hosting a series of Fourth Friday Outdoor Movie Nights at The Grove at Towne Center.
The first movie in the series, "Kung Fu Panda 4," will be shown this Friday, August 23rd, at 6 p.m. Movies will start at dusk.
Other upcoming movies include "Elemental" on September 27th and "Hocus Pocus" on October 25th.
Enjoy a free movie, delicious food from local food trucks, refreshing King of Pops, and the exciting Splash Pad before the show. Bring your lawn chair or blanket and get ready for a memorable evening with family and friends.
