Readers Rally: A Team for Competitive 5th Grade Readers
Calling all bookworms! Are you a 5th grader who loves to read and wants to test your knowledge? Join the brand-new Readers Rally book club!
This quiz bowl-style competition club is a great way to have fun, make new friends, and improve your reading skills. To participate, simply read an assigned book and take a short quiz on Wednesday, October 2nd in the Media Center. Those who qualify will be expected to read one book per week and practice answering questions using buzzers at weekly morning meetings.
How to Join:
- Pick up the assigned book on September 23rd from Mrs. Reynolds in the Media Center.
- Be prepared to take the quiz on Wednesday, October 2nd. Don't forget to bring your lunch and the book to the Media Center.
So, if you're ready to put your reading skills to the test and have some fun, join Readers Rally!
Five Forks Fantasy Quiz Bowl
Are you a fan of The Wild Robot, Poppy, or Captain Underpants? Then join us for the Five Forks Fantasy Quiz Bowl!
Who: Any student who has read any or all ofThe Wild Robot, Poppy, or Captain Underpants
Where: Five Forks Public Library
When: Thursday, October 3rd at 6:00 PM for 1 hour
How: Drop by the Media Center, pick up a permission slip, and return it completed. Meet Mrs. Reynolds & Mrs. Boyce at the GCPL by 5:45 PM.
Important Note: Due to limited space, only students may be invited into the room for the event.

Calling All Young Artists: The Reflections Competition is Back!
Get ready to explore your creativity! Brookwood Elementary's Reflections competition is now open to all students.
This year's theme is Accepting Imperfection. We encourage students to express themselves through visual arts, photography, literature, music composition, dance choreography, or film production.
The deadline to enter is Monday, October 7th.

Box Tops for Education - No more clipping! Scan your receipt!
All money collected from boxtops goes directly to buy PE equipment for Brookwood Elementary. There is a new system starting this year where you download the FREE Boxtops for Education App and scan your receipt. The boxtops will automatically upload to our school's account. Brookwood Elementary PTA Candy Drive
The Brookwood Elementary PTA is seeking donations of individually wrapped candy to be distributed during the upcoming Brookwood High School Homecoming Parade.
If you'd like to contribute, please bring your candy donations to the Brookwood Elementary School front office by noon on Friday, October 4th. Let's show our school spirit and make this year's parade a memorable one!

Have you joined Brookwood Elementary's PTA yet? The Brookwood Elementary PTA supports the student and staff of Brookwood Elementary School. PTA Membership is the cornerstone of parental involvement and community support at our school.
