What is high school band registration?

• Gathers information to order items for you for next year.
• Signatures on forms for UIL
• Signatures on forms for Wylie ISD
• Access and signature for TWB handbook
• WISD Trip and Emergency Treatment release for travel
• Fee payment information and options
• We do not need any payment until May for any items. This is just a heads up like we talked about in January. You can pay all at once, or split payments up into 2, 3, or 4 payments.
  
• If you need financial assistance, please let me know and we will visit via email or over the phone to develop a plan that works for you and allows your child to participate.

NO CHILD WILL BE TURNED AWAY DUE TO FUNDS. We have ways to help out and want ALL children to have the opportunity to participate in music at Wylie HS.

All workshops build on the skills and information learned from the previous. Incoming freshmen will learn the basics of marching and body movement required for marching band. This is a fun activity that thousands of band students have attended as they transition from Junior High into THAT WYLIE BAND.

• Time: 4:45PM-6:30PM
  
• Location: Wylie HS Band Hall. TWB leadership students at the band hall entrance, Montgomery Center entrance, and main front entrance to help guide you to the band hall.
  
• What to bring: Just you!
  
• What to wear: Comfortable clothes and athletic shoes

1. 12 Major Scales recorded in Google Classroom for your instrument. See below for the Google Classroom Code

3. Audition Etude - Theme & Variation (handed out at Side By Side Concert & In Google Classroom)

• 7/23: THAT WYLIE BAND Registration Pick Up Day – DO NOT MISS THIS DAY. You will be given all ordered items. Most you will need for band camp.

• 7/26-30: TWB Marching Band Camp (rehearsal / photos / competition show selection)
• 8/1-6: TWB Marching Band Camp (Non Competition ends at 11:00am / 8:00am – 11:00am Saturday Competition Drill ONLY)
  
• 8/8-10: Competition Drill rehearsals 7:00am – 11:00am / 6:00pm – 9:00pm
• 8/12: 7:00am FULL MARCHING BAND REHEARSAL (That Wylie Band)
  4:30pm-8:30pm After school – Game Procedures / Food / TWB Band Night & Social (family/friends)

UNIFORM FITTING

You will try on your uniform the first week of band camp 4:30-7PM. More info released before the summer.
