NSE PK Registration
June 13 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM ~ NS Elementary Cafeteria
Message from the Principal
Dear Famlies,
It is time to register all of our community PK children for the 2023-2024 school year! ALL students that will be 3 or 4 by September 1, 2023, need to register! If you have a child or know of a student that will be eligible for PK next year and did not attend PK3 this past school year, in-person registration is required. If your child attended PK3 or PK4 this year, you can skip the in-person registration and register online!
Our PK continues to be an all-day program. We will be accepting in-district qualifying students AND nonqualifying students until classes are full. Non-qualifying students will be accepted in order of completed registration. If your child was nonqualifying in PK3, but circumstances have changed and they may qualify, please let the office know so we can change your child to qualifying.
Registration is very important. It helps us know how many PK teachers we need. If many skip the June registration and we have a large number registering in August, we will not have enough teachers to serve them. This happened this past school year. We had to put students on a wait list, hire another teacher, and move students. That was difficult for everyone. Please do not put off registering. Help us be prepared and register June 13th! Also, sign up on our New PK and New Kinder round up. This will give us an idea on who is registering.
PK 4 students are able to apply for the Head Start classroom if they are in the qualifying income range. Head Start will be at the registration for PK4 parents to apply. We have 20 priority spots for Head Start. If your child qualifies for Head Start, they are guaranteed a PK spot.
Bring all of the documents listed below to the registration. If you cannot make the registration, call the elementary office. Please make every effort to attend. It is very important we have an accurate student count. We look forward to seeing you!
