Hello Trailblazers!

It is that time of year when we begin to plan for the 2025-2026 school year. One of the most important factors in our planning is school enrollment. Please help us ensure that we have accurate enrollment information by completing the Continuing Student Registration packet. So far, only 33.27% of our returning families have completed the registration process. Our goal is to get 100% completed by March 31st. If you need assistance completing the process, we have two open labs scheduled on:

Thursday, March 13, 2025, from 12:30 pm - 2:30 pm.

Tuesday, March 25. 2025, from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm.

Continuing Registration Steps:

Login and complete the digital registration packet via the online registration portal found here.

Review and complete any required forms located at the conclusion of the process. A packet is not considered finalized until this step is completed. In order for this step to be completed, you must click the FINALIZE PACKET button.

Please note: MEDICATION FORMS or ADDITIONAL SIGNED SITE SPECIFIC FORMS WILL NOT BE COLLECTED UNTIL SCHOOL BEGINS IN AUGUST FOR THE 2025-2026 SCHOOL YEAR.

Attendance rates continue to look good this week. We stayed at or below 5% absenteeism. Thank you for your support in sending your student to school each day, on time.

We have some exciting news regarding our district’s TK program! Beginning in the 2025-26 school year, PUSD Transitional Kindergarten will be a full-day program.

The range of age-eligibility will also expand - children who turn four-years-old on or before September 1, 2025, will be age-eligible for TK. (Students who turn five-years-old on or before September 1, 2025 will be age-eligible for Kindergarten). Enrollment for TK for 2025-26 school year opens on April 1, 2025. Please feel free to share this news with your friends and neighbors who have children in this age range.

SDCCU Classroom Heroes Program

Spotlight a stellar teacher through the SDCCU Classroom Heroes program for the chance to win a $500 gift card and be featured on CBS News 8. Winning teachers will be entered to win the grand prize of a five-day, luxury San Diego staycation. Submit a nomination today!

For over ten years, San Diego County Credit Union (SDCCU) and SDCOE have recognized local “Classroom Heroes." This school year the recognitions went from quarterly to monthly, with one local San Diego County teacher being recognized as a Classroom Hero each month through May 2025. Winning teachers receive a $500 SDCCU Visa® gift card and are featured on CBS News8.

SDCCU has just added a grand prize for the 2024-25 school year. One of this year's classroom heroes will receive a five-day luxury staycation at Kona Kai Resort in San Diego. SD Helpful Honda Teacher Appreciation Awards Call For Nominations!

Do you know of, work with, or have heard the story of a San Diego teacher whose efforts have greatly impacted their students, community, or school?

To celebrate Teacher Appreciation Week, May 5th - 9th, 2025, the San Diego Helpful Honda people will be honoring and surprising four deserving teachers, each, with $5,000 worth of school supplies and materials they need to better help their students succeed!

PTA ASSOCIATION MEETING

Come join us on March 13th at 8:00AM in the MPR to hear what the PTA is doing for your school! This is a great opportunity to learn more about the PTA and all of its great programming. It’s also a good time to learn about how you can volunteer (every little bit helps) or grab an open position for next year. Hope to see you there!

PTA 2025-2026 Board Positions Still Available!

Are you looking to be more involved with Stone Ranch? Do you want to meet more awesome Stone Ranch Parents? The PTA is looking for parents who want to join the 2025-2026 PTA Board. We have the following positions still open: VP of Literature, VP of Membership and VP of Programs. These are all vital to continuing the programs your children love! And we have many returning board members to help new members with their positions. Field Day for grades TK-2 was a huge success. Students in grades 3-5 have their turn on Monday, March 10th.

3rd Grade - 9:15 to 10:15

5th Grade + Combo Class - 10:30 to 11:30

Yearbooks can still be purchased now for the last remaining discount of $35! Don’t delay, as prices will go up at the end of April to $40. Walk-ups during the last week of school will also be available for $40 though these yearbooks will not be reserved for your child and will be on a first come first serve basis. Many kids love looking back at their year and enjoy collecting messages from peers and teachers, so get your copy today!

Ralph’s and the Kroger family have long supported schools in passive fundraising efforts but we need 5 minutes of your time to help us get a piece of the pie! This is an incredibly easy way to help us raise money for Stone Ranch! Up to 4% of your purchases come directly back to our school.

Even if you have done this in the past you will need to do this again! There are two easy ways to make this happen. The easiest way is to download the Ralphs app, sign up for an account or login to your account if you already have one. In the top right hand corner click the three little lines. A drop down menu will appear. Click “Rewards”, then click “Community Contributions” and search for our school. That’s it!

Alternatively, if you do not want to download the app, you may create an account on the Ralphs website and then follow these steps:

• Scroll to the bottom of the page

• Look under Community

• Click on Ralphs Community Rewards

• Under instruction Number 2 - Link your card to an Organization

• Go to Number 2 - Search for your Organization here (click Here)

• You may have to sign in again

• Search for Stone Ranch Elementary School PTA (organization number DB957)

• Add to your account

The Poway Unified transfer window opens on Saturday, February 1, 2025 at 8 a.m.! If you live within the Poway Unified boundaries and want your child to attend a school different than your assigned school, submit your request online through the Transfers page on the PUSD website. (This includes siblings of current students.) Please make sure to still enroll your child at their assigned school of residence when new student enrollment opens on April 1, 2025. Transfer requests can only be processed once your child is enrolled in their school of residence. The transfer request window will close on March 31, 2025 at 5 p.m.

Our next DELAC meeting is Wednesday, March 12th, at 6pm at the District Office. You are cordially invited to attend this meeting with your DELAC representative. At this meeting, we will be looking at the results of our engagement survey and will engage with one another to gather input from parents along with brainstorming ways to continue to support our English Learner families. Your time is precious and we would gladly appreciate you attending to support the hard work of your parents!
