Facilitator - Debbie Nagel (SST1 Consultant and Regional Early Literacy Specialist)
Short Description - This network offers instructional and literacy coaches the chance to address challenges specific to their district or school goals. Coaches will collaborate regularly with others in the region to share ideas and problem solve. Training and learning opportunities will be part of each session to develop knowledge around a coaching cycle, how to use data in coaching, working with adults, evidence-based instructional practices and tools. A Padlet will be created to capture resources, tools, and articles for all participants to access.
The goal is to help coaches create a high-impact coaching model using their own data, while also supporting them in meeting the requirements of HB33 (Science of Reading) and HB436 (Dyslexia Law). Additional details.
Participants will receive a free copy of the book Coaching for Systems and Teacher Change by Jennifer Pierce and Kimberly St. Martin.
