Highlights of June's Board meeting
Welcome to the Pennridge School Board monthly update. To foster better communication with the public we are providing a monthly executive summary of our actions. These are highlights of this month's Board meeting.
Each month, we will also include links to specific times of the video of our meeting to help you navigate to specific areas of interest. I hope you find this information useful and easy to access.
We welcome feedback from the public and the School District welcomes you at the meetings and invites you to participate in the meetings' public comment sections.

Highlights of the Board's Decisions:
Superintendent Berrios honors and recognizes dozens of students, staff, and community members.
The Board Approves a Balanced 2024-2025 General Fund Proposed Final Budget.
The Board Approves a new Science Curriculum Program for Grades 6-8.
The Board Continues the Free Breakfast program for the 2024-2025 School Year and all other Lunch Prices are set

The Class of 2024 graduated on June 4th and the Total Scholarships and Awards earned by the class this year was more than $2.7 Million Dollars!

- 514 students took the assessment this year, 100% earned a passing grade
- 126 students from all 3 middle schools earned a PERFECT SCORE!
- In comparison, in 2023, 38 students had a perfect score and again, this year 126 students were perfect!
Six recent graduates from PHS earned our first-ever “Pennridge Pillars of Our Community” Award
We asked the Senior House Principal and Counselors to confirm what we have observed throughout the last two years; these six students consistently demonstrate and exemplify our three pillars of “Proud, Principled, and Prepared” despite facing challenges and overcoming adversity.
They represent the best of Pennridge in the eyes of all stakeholders. This will also be an annual award and will be added to the Senior Awards Night next year along with a scholarship amount from our Community Relations Department.

Finance Committee Report
- The School Board Approves the 2024-2025 Pennridge School District General Fund Proposed Final Budget
- The School Board approved the following prices for all meals in 2024-2025:
- Elementary lunch $2.75
- MS/HS lunch $3.25
- Reduced lunch Qualifies Free
- Elementary breakfast Free
- MS breakfast Free
- HS breakfast Free
- Reduced breakfast Free

- The School Board Approves a Motion that allows Barker and Barker for the crack treatment and seal coat of the high school bus loop and the entire parking lot between the Bus Garage and PHS. The result will be closing the majority of the parking areas throughout the Summer months.

Pennridge Human Resources Department Gets Restructured. In June, the School Board agreed to changing the descriptions of these positions in the Human Resources Department.
