TALON TALK
May 19, 2024
Our Mission: REACH every student, every day.
We know our impact as educators reaches beyond academic content so we are committed to:
COLLABORATION
COMMUNICATION
CONNECTING WITH KIDS AND FAMILIES
CARING FOR ONE ANOTHER
& CULTIVATING LEADERS
Hello Eagle Nation!
This is officially the last Talon Talk of the 2023-2024 school year, and what a year it has been!
I want to say thank you from our staff for trusting us with your child throughout the year. Your kiddos spend a large portion of their time with us, and we certainly have not taken that for granted!
On a personal note, this year and the previous eight years at Reynolds MS have been the best years of my 20 year career, and while I am moving into a new role in PISD, Reynolds will always be a special place to me, and I will truly miss building relationships with our students!
As a reminder, Wednesday is a half-day with a release time of 12:15pm. Please note that our cafeteria will only be serving sack lunches that include a sandwich, fruit, and water/milk.
We look forward to spending the next few days with our students!
It's a great day to be an Eagle!!

Registration Reminder!
If you are returning to Prosper ISD next school year and have not yet completed registration, please do so as soon as possible. This helps us with accurate planning for the coming year. All information for both new and returning registration may be found on the Prosper ISD website. Please make sure you have the required documents before you register your students.
If you are not returning to Prosper ISD, please complete the Intent to Withdraw Form in Skyward Family Access to help us plan. Instructions to complete the form are located here.
Chromebooks and Chargers
If a student loses his/her charger or the device needs repairs the parent/guardian can go to MySchoolBucks, select the Technology item, pay, send the receipt to their child so the child can show it to the tech, and the campus tech can provide a new charger or repairs.
Here are the direct links to items:
Legislative Update - Vapes
The 2023-2024 Student Code of Conduct was updated, incorporating a new law from the 88th Texas Legislature. This law mandates that any student that is in possession of a vape on school premises MUST be placed into a disciplinary alternative education program (DAEP).
Please speak to your child about this new law.
Traffic Reminders
Through traffic is restricted on the east side (near stadium) of campus in the mornings, 7:45am-8:15am, as well as afternoons, 3:30pm-4pm.
We ask that you avoid surrounding areas, such as neighborhoods and businesses, during dismissal times.
Thank you for helping keep our students and staff safe!

Emergent Bilingual Connection
The Emergent Bilingual Connection is a monthly communication for our ESL Families. It contains parent meeting dates, information on how to reach specialists, and general parent information related to English language acquisition.
PISD Family Resource Center
The Family Resource Center (410 E. 1st St.) is now open EVERY SCHOOL DAY between 10:00 and 2:00. Stop by to see all of our new items and resources and grab a free book from our new Free Little Library as well as fill out a raffle ticket for our special night out for two (including dinner and childcare!). This month's theme is Back to School Success so our "Grab and Go" table is full of books and social stories and other hand-outs related to going to school. We hope to help make this the BEST SCHOOL YEAR EVER for your family.
