It would be a great last read before you die because it is not only about basketball but its about how two kids with different views and values eventually team up to be great teammates and friends.
1.) I like the characters and their relationships with each other.
2.) I like the whole storyline because its based off of basketball.
3.) I like the main character because he is like me.
1.) I didn't like the cover of the book, it wasn't really interesting.
2.) I didn't like the fact that there are no sequels to this book.
“There was no anger in his voice, no disappointment even. It was as if he'd given up on me." I chose this quote because this is how I feel about myself if I make a bad decision or do something stupid in a basketball game or in life even.
I would most definitely recommend this book because it has a great plot and it pertains to our everyday lives. I would recommend this book to basketball players and players of any sports because it teaches that teamwork is what makes a great team so much better than others.
This book talks about two teenage kids that play on a school team that at first, don't really enjoy each others company. They start to play basketball in the backyard of the main character and they immediately start to bond, and eventually win a state championship together as the two star players. The underlining message is invest your self into someone's company and learn more about them and what they have been through before you make assumptions.
