STAFF VS UNIFIED BASKETBALL
🏀 STAFF vs. UNIFIED BASKETBALL SHOWDOWN! 🏀
Get ready for the ultimate battle on the court! On Wednesday, February 5th the students will take on the staff in a high-energy basketball game that will test skill, strategy, and stamina.
🔥 Featuring Coach Kelly, Coach Ashworth and Coach Purcell, who claim they’ve still got it—but can they keep up with the younger, faster, and (let’s be honest) more hydrated students?
👀 Will the staff prove that experience beats youth? Or will the students run circles around them and make them rethink every game-time decision?
One thing’s for sure—bragging rights are on the line. Let’s see if the staff can handle the heat or if the students will send them back to the locker room with a new game plan.

VAPING EDUCATION
On Tuesday, February 4th, HSE Schools invites high school students and their parent/guardian to attend a vape education & prevention session from 3:30-4:30pm at HSE Central Office (13485 Cumberland Road). Adults can also engage in an interactive Vape Detection Room, hosted by the Fishers Health Department. No registration is required, but please note we will need to cap attendance at 50 due to room capacity.
HSE Vape Education & Prevention Class
Presenter: Sergeant Chris Owens, Fishers Police Department, Sergeant of the School Resource Officer Unit
The goal of this educational class is to provide students and their parent/guardian with information about the health risks associated with vaping, to help students develop refusal skills and strategies to resist peer pressure, and to foster a supportive environment where students feel comfortable discussing vaping and its impacts.
Hidden in Plain Sight: Identifying Vaping Devices in Adolescent Spaces (adults only)
Presenter: Kacy Brobst, Public Health Educator for the Fishers Health Department
In this interactive presentation, parents/guardians will have the opportunity to explore a mock bedroom and uncover as many vaping devices as possible. Sounds easy, right? Unfortunately, e-cigarette companies have continued to create devices and paraphernalia that blend in with household items, allowing adolescents to hide their habit in plain sight. This session will show participants some of the possibilities for these devices and provide support for discussing this topic with teens.

ATTENDANCE PROCEDURES
Our attendance office has experienced an increase in immediate dismissals. Immediate dismissals can be difficult for us to find your student quickly especially if your student is in a gym class or at lunch. Please click on the link below to see our attendance procedures. Calling our attendance office in advance is more efficient for you and our staff which gives us time to locate your student and send a pass for early dismissal in a timely manner. Please remind your student to carry their school ID at all times while in the building or be able to access their school ID in the Skyward App which needs to be downloaded. Thanks in advance for your cooperation.
HSE REPORT IT!
Dear Parents/Guardians,
If you come across any information that may be of concern to your student(s), school, and/or the community, please report it to our HSE Report It! tipline. HSE Report It! is monitored 24/7 and allows you the option of providing screenshots, screen recordings, and other attachments that can be useful throughout an investigation. To learn how to download the app, please click on the link below.
