Happy Spring Break to All Families
We hope all families have a safe and healthy Spring Break! When students and staff return to school we will enter the 4th Quarter. Please have your child check for any schedule changes in Powerschool. As we progress into the 4th Quarter, we need parent and guardian support to ensure that students are attending school.
At AMS, 35% of students are considered chronically absent. This is defined as being absent 10% or more of school days for any reason. While occasional absences due to illness are understandable, chronic absenteeism can lead to significant academic setbacks and hinder your child’s ability to reach their full potential. Please reach out If your child is experiencing challenges that affect their ability to attend school regularly.
Kindly,
Amy Kendziorski and Julie Ramey

MOUNTAIN PEARL MAGAZINE ~ Student Writing Contest
MOUNTAIN PEARL magazine invites students, faculty, and parents from all local schools (Aspen to Glenwood Springs) to participate in our 6th annual Student Writing Contest.
Students, faculty, and parents – please share your favorite written work from this school year. Our jury scores each submission by grade level — blind of school, student, and teacher names — using a metric that values originality, clarity, word choice, detail, and voice. Winners are announced and published in MP's Autumn Back to School edition. All participants whose work meets grade-level criteria will receive a gift certificate for a milkshake at Honey Butter Diner in Carbondale, which will be delivered to your campus before the last day of school.
Contest Closing Date: May 1st

Anything Goes is set aboard the ocean liner S. S. American, where nightclub singer/evangelist Reno Sweeney and her bevy of angelic showgirls, who will be providing music and dance entertainment during the crossing, are en route from New York to England. Reno's pal Billy Crocker, a young assistant to Wall Street tycoon Elisha J. Whitney, has stowed away to be near his love, Hope Harcourt. But the problem is Hope is engaged to the wealthy (read: stuffy) Lord Evelyn Oakleigh.
Joining this love triangle on board the luxury liner are Public Enemy #13, Moonface Martin, and his sidekick-in-crime, Erma. With the help of some elaborate disguises, tap-dancing sailors and good old-fashioned blackmail, Reno and Martin join forces to help Billy in his quest to win Hope’s heart. Set to the fantastic music of Cole Porter, how will everything work out? Who knows? Anything goes!
