Are you interested in a career in education? Do you enjoy working with kids? Do you want more real-world/hands-on experiences or field trips in a student organization? You're in luck! River Ridge High School now has a club just for you--Future Georgia Educator's CTSO! FGE will be holding an introductory meeting Monday 8/19 @ 3:20p in Mrs. Heinzer's room 1111. Hope to see you there!

The first DAP meeting of the year will be on Wednesday, August 21st at 3:15 in the media center. Diversity Awareness Program is a student club which focuses on community service to appreciate and celebrate the diverse people who make up our school and community. Everyone is welcome to meetings, every Wednesday after school.

Attention SENIORS/SENIOR PARENTS:

If you have not already scheduled your senior photos with CADY, please do so ASAP. This is the only way to have your senior in the yearbook, and we want to include all seniors.

Students - you are doing an amazing job - Keep up the great work. Teachers are thrilled with the increased student engagement!

As described in the many communications from Mr. Miller as well as the Board Briefs sent by Barbara Jacoby, among the changes to the Code of Conduct are consistent standards for appropriate student attire and appropriate student use of cell phones and other personal digital smart devices in schools, classrooms, and on the school bus. More specifics were shared in that communication which is available here, It may also be found here in 2024-2025 Student Code of Conduct or here - Handbook.

We have a designated attendance email for any attendance notes and early check-out requests: rrhs.attendance@cherokeek12.net. Please use this email instead of emailing Mrs. Mondello or anyone else directly to ensure timely processing of notes. Sending notes through Canvas or Parent Square will delay the process.

Do you play an instrument? Traveling Symphony might be the club for you. Traveling Symphony is a club that allows students to practice and play with all different instruments, play good music voted on by the members, get additional concert experience, & build a community in the fine arts programs. Remember, you don't have to currently be in a school music class to join. Any instrument is welcome! There will be an interest meeting on August 28th at 7:45 in the orchestra room. We hope to see you there!

RRHS Tome Society will be hosting an interest meeting for all students on Friday, Aug. 23rd at 7:45am in the library.

If you love to read, write, or poetry, this is a fantastic club to join. Service opportunities, Honor Cords, scholarships, competitions and more, are all components of this diverse literacy-based society.

Lost and Found can be located in room 1201 and in the box behind the admin table in the cafeteria. Did you know that our special education department picks up the items through out the school? They wash the clothes and the cups every Friday to have them ready to be claimed😊. Items not claimed will be donated.

PLEASE REVIEW MEDIATION POLICY. DO NOT SEND MEDICATION TO SCHOOL WITH your student prescription or OTC in baggy etc. They cannot carry or self-administer! IT MUST BE IN A NEW SEALED BOTTLE OR BLISTER PACK OR THE ORIGINAL PRESCIPTION BOTTLE, CURRENT AND NOT EXPIRED.
