Lanoka Harbor School Newsletter
DECEMBER 2022
Dear Lanoka Families,
As we enter the winter holiday season, Mrs. Kilmurray and I would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone in the Lanoka Harbor School community our very best. The children have been hard at work preparing and participating in numerous activities within the school. We look forward to celebrating the season at our PTO Winter Workshop on Thursday, December 5th, and our holiday chorus concert on Wednesday, December 18th.
As usual, our students continue to amaze us, and demonstrate daily the spirit that has made 2024 a year full of accomplishments and success. Their example is encouragement and hope for what lies ahead in 2025! Please enjoy the start of this holiday season together.
Sincerely,
Jeffrey Brewer, Principal
Theresa Kilmurray, Supervisor

CLUB NEWS
INTERGENERATIONAL CLUB
The Intergenerational Club of the Lacey Schools recently participated in the Lacey Food Bank’s Paper and Toiletry Drive. The Lanoka Harbor School Club decided to ask each grade level to bring in specific items needed by the Food Bank from November 18th through November 22nd. Those items were placed in grade-level collection bins. Together, the club members sorted and boxed the items that were donated to the Food Bank. We are very thankful for all the families that generously supported the Intergenerational Club and Lacey Food Bank!
PROUD PAWS CLUB🐾
On Friday, November 15th, the Lanoka Harbor School Proud Paws hosted a breakfast to honor our Veterans. Students in 3rd through 5th grade were asked to invite a special Veteran to join them. In addition to the breakfast, all students and faculty were asked to participate in paying tribute by sending in a photo along with a tribute card honoring a family member or friend who is a Veteran or currently serving. These photos and tribute cards were put on display in the front foyer display case of the school. The event ended with a bagpipe-led Veteran's parade through the halls!
A special thanks to the Proud Paws Club, Club Advisors Mrs. Meyler and Mrs. Supsie, Mrs. Snover, and the Lanoka Harbor School PTO for their hard work in planning this amazing event!
