From Ms. Rao: Home Visits

I am still looking to visit families before December 3rd. Home visits are an exciting opportunity to connect outside the classroom, allowing me to learn more about your family and interests. If you are not 100% comfortable meeting at your home, we can always meet in a public place like a library or park. These visits are not check-ins or conferences; they are a chance to strengthen our partnership in education. Seeing your child in their own space helps me tailor my teaching methods to suit their learning style better, create a more personalized educational experience, as well as grow our overall connection as human beings.

The benefits of home visits extend far beyond the immediate interaction. Research shows that these visits can significantly enhance student behavior and academic performance, as your children feel valued and understood when their teachers take the time to visit them at home. This collaborative effort not only builds a more supportive community but fosters trust and open communication with your family and us educators. Together, our partnership can create a nurturing environment where our children thrive academically and socially.

Highland Park Middle School

Interested in attended Highland Park Middle School for the 25-26 school year? Join them for a prospective student tour to meet staff, see classrooms, and hear from their current 6th graders!

School tours are focused on 5th graders transitioning to middle school. We encourage parents and students to attend the tours together.

Tours begin at 8:45 in the middle school cafeteria and end by 9:30. Tours are offered on the following dates:

• Wednesday, December 11
• Friday, December 13
• Tuesday, January 14
• Thursday, January 30

Hidden River Middle School
