Traffic Patterns-Reminder
Enter the campus using the Red Lion Road or Buck Rd and turn into the coned lanes for the pick-up/drop-off loop. Vehicles will not be permitted to turn right into the drop off lane unless they are in the correct lane.
Please pull your vehicle all the way up the car line. Do not stop directly in front of the high school doors as this holds up the car line.
Please follow all signs and proceed across the front of the building to door 5 of LMMS to drop off your student(s). Please do not stop in front of the Main Entrances.
Please do NOT drop-off or pick-up a student in the front parking lot area.
Please do NOT drop-off or pick up a student in the large main parking lot where staff and student drivers park as that could create a potentially dangerous situation.
Please do not drop-off or pick-up a student in the Valley Center Park parking lots. These areas are reserved for LMHS bus drop-off and LMHS staff parking only.
Administrators and/or a police officer are present to help direct vehicles, so please follow their instructions.
Leave plenty of time to safely navigate the school campus.

General News and Announcements
11th Grade Physicals are due to the School Nurse
The Pennsylvania Public School Code Section 1402. Health Services (e) requires that students upon original entry, sixth grade and 11th grade be given a "comprehensive appraisal" of their health. The physical is to be completed within 4 months prior to the start of the school year. In addition, Section 1402(c) requires the completion of medical questionnaires which are to become part of the student's health record.
This requirement may be completed by the student's primary care provider (MD, DO, CRNP, PA) or by the school provider.
Historically, the Department of Health provided separate forms for students being evaluated by their private provider and those evaluated by the school provider. However, the medical standards for a physical are the same regardless of the provider completing it. In 2012, the Department published a physical examination form which is to be used for both private and school physical examinations. This form is more comprehensive than previous forms because it includes an extensive medical history.
Schools may accept exams on the private physician's own form as long as it comparable to the DOH approved form.

Attendance Protocol
All of your attendance reporting needs will be handled by one electronic form that will replace the Blue Card online form and the Yellow Card online form (used at Pine Road). This will also replace the need for a phone call to the attendance line.
Use this form to report your child’s absence. Submitting this form will both report the absence and document it. No follow up Blue card is needed.
Submit this form to sign your child into school late.
Submit this form to sign your child out for an appointment (early dismissal). This form allows you to enter a return to school time if your child will be returning to school.
Please Note:
If you are taking an extended vacation, you will still need to complete the Request for Excusal from Regular School Attendance, familiar to most families as a vacation request form. The form is found on the Virtual Backpack under Forms.
Doctors’ notes still need to be submitted to the school attendance secretary or sent into school.

Athletics
Cross Country- The Lower Moreland Boys and Girls Cross Country teams had an impressive showing at the PTXC Invitational at Kutztown University over the weekend. For the girls, 5 runners placed in the top 5, including sophomore Annie Moniz, who took 1st. The girls team also won the Varsity Blue race. Three boys placed in the top 19, and the boys team took 2nd in the Varsity Blue race. The first league meet for both teams is September 11th at Bryn Athyn College.
Field Hockey- The Varsity Field Hockey team currently has a record of 4-3 after defeating William Tennent at home by a score of 7-1 on September 9th. The team is young, but will look to make the District playoffs for a fourth consecutive season under coaches Janet Lutter and Ed Neeld. The team will next play on 9/11 at Upper Moreland.
Football- The Football team notched its third win of the season on Saturday, September 7th, defeating Jenkintown by a score of 24-0. The Lions have already equaled their win total from last year, and will host Morrisville High School on Friday, September 13th at 7:00 PM.
Golf- Though the Golf team has struggled so far this season, Coach Guido has done a great job motivating the younger players and helping them develop their skills. Adi Bender has come aboard as a volunteer coach for the JV team, and this has allowed the team to play a JV schedule comparable to the one from last year.
Boys Soccer- The Boys Soccer team is rolling at the moment, having amassed a record of 5-0-1 early on in the season. On September 9th, the team defeated Franklin Towne Charter HS by a score of 6-3. The team played to a 0-0 tie in double overtime against their rivals from Springfield on 9/6, and will travel to New Hope on 9/10.
Girls Soccer- Girls Soccer currently holds a 3-1 record after earning an impressive 2-1 overtime win on Friday, September 6th against Springfield. The team will face New Hope on Tuesday, September 10th, and after an away game at William Tennent later in the week, will have a five-game stretch where they play all their games at home.
Girls Tennis- Girls Tennis begins the week of September 9th with a 7-2 overall record. The team is 1-0 in league play at the moment, but will play Springfield at home on 9/10 and travel to Cheltenham on 9/12 in their next two matches. Last year, Hannah and Rebecca Kideckel won the PIAA 2A State Doubles Championship, and the girls have their sights set on a repeat performance.
