Volume 5 Ed. 10
Message from Bob Carnaroli - Principal
Dear Raider Nation,
Homecoming was a big success ... thank you to our Student Council Members, Heather Transue Staff Sponsor, and all the students, staff, and families for making this a very special week of fun and the continuation of Raider traditions. From the dress up days, parade, powder puff game, (big congrats to the freshmen girls in defeating the seniors to win the trophy), to the homecoming court, football game, and the dance (which set a record for most students in attendance in school history)...the week was excellent and memorable. Thank you for supporting all things Raider Nation. It's important and definitely noticed!
Final word on this past week. If only we can stop the Jr/Sr. Wars, or change to something less destructive? I know it impacted our students and families in many ways, anxiety, lack of sleep, energy, concentration, cost of damages and clean up time (the damage has gone way past toilet paper in trees etc…and that’s not good)…not to mention the impact if has on the students that take the brunt of the “wars”. It dampens the spirit and excitement of the week for many. There has to be a solution that can come from all of us ...the school, students, community and families for a better way. I with the help of others will be working on that moving forward as we plan for next year's Homecoming events. We can be better and make this week much less anxious, expensive, and more fun for all.

Academy Service Day - October 30th
Date: Academy Service Day on October 30th.
Location: NFHS Performing Arts Center.
To ensure the event runs smoothly and engages our students effectively, we have roughly a two-hour window for this session. Ideally each academy will have a15-minute window to either present a briefing or show a video (or a combination of both) about their respective programs. Following the briefings, our students will have the opportunity to ask questions and or liaise with academy reps (anticipating ~30minutes for this Q/A period). This is open to the eight public schools in our district!
Here are the event details and advertising:
📅 Date: October 30th, 2024
🕥 Time: 10:15 AM - 12:00 PM
