Teacher Spotlight - Sharon Liao
Ms. Liao is a veteran Viking that’s been at work performing her magic for the past 10 years! She is our current Spanish Honor Society and UIL Literary Criticism Sponsor. She proudly attended UT Austin undergrad, and UT Arlington where she obtained her M.Ed. Fun facts about Ms. Liao… she happened to Graduate from Dulles High School, and works alongside some of her former teachers, how cool is that?? She has an affinity for rubber stamps, authors, books and all things foodJ Some of her talents are cooking, baking, and eating!! Ms. Liao also enjoys spending time with her brothers 2 dogs, Biscuit, (corgi mix) and Waffles, (golden retriever)! Join me in congratulating Ms. Sharon Liao for being the teacher of the week!
Staff Spotlight - Rachana Shah
Rachana Shah is a district aide and a substitute receptionist. This is her second year with DHS and she feels at home with the Vikings. She has worked in FBISD many years ago as a substitute teacher and a mentor for Elementary and Middle schools. Mrs. Shah sponsors the Junior Achievement Club and the Hindu Student Association with Mr. Gahrman. She enjoys volunteering for both clubs. She also volunteers and runs Sunday school at her Temple, over the last 12 years. She has a passion for volunteering and giving back to the community. Mrs. Shah has been happily married for 28 years, her husband Jitesh is a software engineer, and works for a major Investment company and their son RJ is a senior at Strake Jesuit. Her family is her life! She also enjoys spending time with friends and likes to travel around the world. Mrs. Shah has a Master’s degree in Home Economics and a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from University of Houston. Mrs. Shah has the utmost respect for the teaching profession. Teachers try their best to bring out the best in the students. She believes that the importance of education is to pass in life and not just an examination!
