Westlake Families,

It's been a great week week at Westlake. The weather is getting colder and the snow has started. Please make sure to send coats, snow pants, hats and gloves with your student. Please label them with your student's name as many things end up in lost and found. Our Winter Concert is coming up on Tuesday, December 17th at 10 am. The students have been working hard on their songs and are excited to share them with their family and friends. Please make sure to put this on your calendar.

There will be No School next week, November 25th - 29th, for Thanksgiving Break. Please take this time to relax and enjoy a little extra time with family and friends. We look forward to seeing everyone back at school on December 2nd.

*Please call the Student Attendance Line if your student is going to be absent for the Whole Day. Please leave Your Name, Student's Full Name, Grade, Teacher and Reason for Absence.

*You DO NOT Need to call the Attendance line if you student is going to being coming in late or leaving early for an appointment. You will just need to come into the office to sign them in and/or out.

Our New Ukulele Cart & Ukuleles

A huge shout out and thank you to LHS Industrial Technology teacher Karl Shafer and his 6th hour class for building Westlake's new Ukulele cart. It turned out great and is the perfect storage for our new Ukuleles. Fourth graders play ukulele starting in January.

November Spartan Way Awards

Here are our November Spartan Way Awards. These are students that have been going above and beyond by being respectful, responsible, honest, safe, or caring. Students can be chosen by any staff member in the building who then shares the students name and one Spartan Way word along with a short description on why they chose that word. Way to go October Spartan Way Students!!

*All Student will receive Free Breakfast and Lunch

If your child would like an extra entree (example: two slices of pizza on Friday) or any entree during the week, they can deposit money into their account. *Change from last year ~ Extra entrees cost $2.25. Money can be brought into school, or you can make deposits online on the Lakeview Food Service site. Choices need to be made when they order lunch in the morning so the lunchroom can plan accordingly.

Tardy/Late Lunch Choice Information

Lunch Choices need to be ordered by 9:30 each morning. If you student is going arrive to school after 9:30, please call the school office with their lunch choice. If they do not make a choice and come after 9:30, they will receive PB&J.

Westlake Families,

It's week a great week. Lots of classrooms are meeting their PBIS/Sparty Shout out Goals and celebrating with lots of fun activities.

We are in need of backpack donations. If you would like to donate a backpack, please drop it off in the school office.

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!

We hope that all Westlake students, staff and families have a wonderful Thanksgiving Break. The PTA is very grateful for the continued support we receive throughout the year.

Thanksgiving Drawing:

The PTA will be doing a drawing for a $25 Target Gift Card at our next PTA meeting. Anyone that has volunteered at a PTA event or is signed up to help at this year's Holiday Shop will be entered in the drawing.

Holiday Shop!

There are still spots available for volunteers during this year's Holiday Shop. The envelopes for shopping will be going home December 6th for students to bring back on December 9th when the shop opens.
