On November 8th, Mrs. Lillard and kindergarten teacher Mrs. White represented Brookwood Elementary School at the 2024 National Blue Ribbon Award Ceremony in Washington D.C. Joining them was Gwinnett County Public Schools' Superintendent Dr. Calvin Watts. During the ceremony, the Department of Education presented Mrs. Lillard and Mrs. White with a plaque and flag, which will be proudly displayed at Brookwood Elementary. Back home in Snellville, students and staff watched an online broadcast of the ceremony.

This is well-deserved honor for our Brookwood Elementary staff, students, and entire school community.

The Brookwood Elementary students and staff came together to celebrate our hard work and achievements with a fantastic two-day Blue Ribbon Celebration Carnival!

On Wednesday, November 13th for Kindergarten thru 2nd grade and Friday, November 15th for 3rd through 5th grade, Brookwood Elementary students had a blast celebrating the arrival home of our 2024 Blue Ribbon Award plaque and flag. Students enjoyed activity stations of face paint and temporary tattoos, popcorn snack, relay races, bouncy houses, and a mini dance party.

Our students enjoyed a celebration filled with fun, laughter, and school spirit!

A huge round of applause to our talented Brookwood Elementary students who have won the 2024-2025 PTA Reflections competition! Your artistic expressions have truly amazed us. We wish you all the best as you advance to the Georgia PTA Area 1 Competition. Keep shining!
