Suncrest Elementary is a place where all (students, parents, community, and staff) strive for academic, social, and emotional excellence in a safe, supportive, and diverse atmosphere. We set high expectations for all students. Our entire school community believes that all students can and will achieve their highest potential now and in the future.

Literacy is our #1 goal at Suncrest! Meeting each of our studnets' individual needs is a priority. By ensuring that our students have a strong foundation in reading skills, is the best way to ensure that they are strong and independent readers!

At Suncrest, we are dedicated to maintaining open access to a variety of educational routes, enabling students to explore different career possibilities, from trades to collegiate fields, as they progress in their academic journey.

Hello! My name is Diane Vielee, and I am so excited to be a part of the Suncrest Eagle Team once again this year. I am excited to have earned the opportunity to work with the students, families, and staff here at Community Schools of Frankfort! While I have over 25 years in teaching, I am eager to continue my administrative career at Suncrest Elementary! My number one goal is to work as a team with the Suncrest families to ensure that our students are receiving the best education possible. Please do not hesitate to reach out to me. Assistant Principal

My name is Samantha Mitchell, and I am the Assistant Principal at Suncrest Elementary School. This will be my third year as an administrator in the Community Schools of Frankfort. With over a decade of experience in education, I bring a deep passion for education and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment. At Suncrest, our shared goal is "Growing Greater Together." Let's embark on this journey of education, collaboration, and growth as we empower our students to reach new heights!

Suncrest prides itself on providing a wide array of after-school activities for our students, based on their grade level. We love seeing our students taking pride and ownership in their school!

Our after-school enrichment program, TAAG, is a big part of the success we are experiencing at Suncrest. Students are invited by invitation based on their data, and they meet in a smaller group with a teacher after school on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Students are provided a snack before working, then parents pick them up by car at 4:15 pm. Students really enjoy this program!

Our student council is comprised of our 4th and 5th grade students. They are chosen by their peers to be the leaders in our building. The student council leads many programs for our school such as, a canned food drive, selling carnations for Valentine's Day, and other fun opportunities!

Our Garden Club is a very popular club in our upper grades! Mrs. Rudd, a 5th grade teacher leads the charge with these students. They enjoy every aspect of learning how to cultivate a flourishing garden!

Our students have the ability, depending on their grade level, of participating in several sports throughout the school year. At Suncrest, we offer:

• Girl's Volleyball
• Girl's Basketball
• Boy's Basketball
• Cross Country

These sports are coached by teachers at Suncrest, and the practices take place right after school on school grounds!
