Wildcat Families
Wildcat Parents,
It’s amazing to think that we are one quarter through the school year, and it has been an extremely productive and positive year so far. Allow me to highlight some of the collective efforts and accomplishments of our school community, of which I am so proud.
Every Student Belongs
Our team has worked hard this year to emphasize the importance of belonging. As a staff, we have learned that the vast majority of our students feel like they can be themselves at school, and that there is an adult they feel they could talk to if they needed help. Teachers are collecting that data regularly and looking for ways to help each student find a positive connection with peers and adults. We emphasize belonging regularly through things like class charters, “You Belong” T-Shirts (Thanks PTC), and buddy classrooms, and we plan to continue these efforts in order to create the best possible environment for children to thrive in.
Parent Teacher Conferences
We had over 90% parent participation in PT Conferences. For those who don’t know, that is an exceptional participation rate! Sublimity is truly a one-of-a-kind place and we appreciate your willingness to partner with us in serving your children.
Veterans Day Program
We had a wonderful event yesterday with visits from the Oregon National Guard, Stayton High School Concert Choir, and a very cool Black Hawk Helicopter! Thanks to all families who submitted pictures of your Veterans for our slide show. We hope that students had a memorable experience.
Oregon National Guard and Color Guard
Our Veterans Day assembly featured a Color Guard presentation of the flags and speech from Brigadier General Alan R. Gronewold.
Army National Guard
The students were surprised by the Army National Guard with a Blackhawk helicopter landing on school property. Students got to watch it land and take off as well as sit inside it.
SHS Concert Choir
SHS Concert Choir sang the National Anthem.
