Due to the amount of illness currently circulating in the community, we have decided to put a pause on our lunch visitors in an effort to help keep everyone as healthy as possible. As a result, we will not be having lunch visitors from Monday, February 3rd through Friday, February 7th.

We look forward to being able to welcome parents and grandparents back on campus to eat with our students after this brief pause.

Also, please remember that if your child is sent home from school by the nurse for fever, vomiting or diarrhea, your child cannot return to school for 24 hours. It is recommended to keep them home until they are fever free or no vomit or diarrhea for 24 hours. This is to help with spreading the illness to others.

Thursday was the 100th day of school. Kindergarten and staff dressed up as 100 year olds to celebrate this yearly milestone. Check out the video on Facebook of our precious kinder students during the parade.

This year instead of doing the Staff Cookie Exchange during the busy Christmas time, it was suggested to try it around Valentine's Day. No matter what time of year, this is an absolute favorite for our staff members. They enjoy the sweet treats you share each year. Don't be afraid to bring the treats shared during the Christmas holidays. All cookies or sweet treats are welcome!! You can drop them off when you come for your child's Friendship Party on Thursday, Feb. 13th. If you don't plan to come to the parties, you can drop off at the office or send with your child.

💡 Here’s how you can help:
➡️ We need volunteers to run 6 fun stations (plus a photo booth 📸) during the parties.
➡️ Each grade will rotate through the party during their regular specials time, and there are 3 volunteer shifts to choose from (each covering 2 grades).

❤️ Sign up for 1 (or even 2!) shifts and stick around to enjoy the party with your child during their grade’s time. If you’re unsure when your child’s specials are, check out the times in the graphics!

Be sure to mark your calendars for Tuesday, February 11th to hear Officer Ivory present at the PTA Meeting at 6:30 pm. She will discuss some Do's and Don't's of technology and social media for elementary age students. It is difficult to navigate the ever changing technology world. We could all use a little help.

Dear Parents and Staff,

We are excited to invite you to Lewisville ISD's Parent Cafe, a free parent support group led by our Student Assistance Counselors and Social Workers at Lamar Middle School. This is a wonderful opportunity for parents to connect, share experiences, and receive support in a welcoming environment.

Child care will be provided, and a free family meal will be served during each session. We hope to see you there!
