Weekly Update

This week will be a busy week with lots of different activities. Please make sure you read the information in the newsletter so you know what activities your child might be involved in and/or what meetings you need to attend.

It’s been wonderful to reconnect with our students this week after the break. As we head into a fun and busy time of year, we also recognize that it can bring its share of challenges for some students. If you feel your child could benefit from extra support, our school-based clinician is available.

Mrs. Allen and Mrs. Turner would like to thank everyone for coming out and shopping the book fair this week. They had a great turnout!

Girls Basketball- FYI for the tournament the only pass that is accepted is the White Big EAST League Pass all others will not be accepted. Please spread the word so patrons are prepared to pay the gate fee.

League tournament starts this weekend. 7th grade is in Atchison and 8th is at Home.

7th grade please report to the High School for a shoot around at 10:30 am- you will board the bus at 11:00am

8th grade you will report to the Middle School at 9am for a brunch and to watch the games ahead of yours.

More information will come out later after the games on Saturday.

Wrestling-

League Meet is at Nemaha Central on Monday December 9th. The boys will leave at 10:15am. They will need to make sure they bring food as they will not be at school for lunch. If they need a school sack lunch please let Mrs. Dooley know ASAP.

Band/Vocals and Art-

Make sure you have it on your calendar to come to the Middle School on December 10th for our Art show start at 6pm and our band and vocal concert for 6th-8th grade starting at 7pm.

Please note this has not change, I know some thought it had been moved to December 11th it has not been moved.

Boys Basketball-

There will be a parent meeting on December 10th at 6pm in Coach Jackson's classroom at the Middle School. 1st day of boys basketball practice will be Friday December 13th.

Girls Wrestling-

Girls wrestling practice will start on Monday December 16th.

Please note that the only passes that are accepted are the white Big East League Passes.

Cost for Breakfast is $2.25- we start serving breakfast at 7:30 am

Lunch cost is $3.50- Salads and sandwiches are offered every day but Late Start Days

Extra Milk is $0.50

Let’s have some fun these last few weeks before Christmas Break! Christmas is not just about receiving gifts, but it is also about giving. I challenge ALL students and staff to participate every day. Let’s end 2024 by showing our Holiday Spirit!

This week we will be doing a Penny Drive for the Humane Society- Information on that is below.

If you can help donate please drop things off at the public library or you can bring to the school and we will get the items to the library.
