I will be keeping touch this summer to share with you the stats. We have bounced around as #1 in the district with reading this summer. This graphic shows that Hillsboro has logged over 21,000 minutes this summer so far! My goal is for Hillsboro to log 75,000 minutes read by August 16th!

We have a fierce group of teacher readers who are logging their reading. Juniors (rising seniors) are following behind in 2nd place! Keep logging minutes and writing book reviews! Don't forget that audiobooks count!

• To Earn Burro Incentive Points, you must earn the "Summer Reading Completion Badge"
• Each additional badge after that is additional points
• Maximum Points earned for summer reading is 30.
• Burro Incentive Shop opens in September for Hillsboro Students
• Points can buy Swag or Snacks depending on how much you earn!

Items and prices will change over the summer, but here is an idea of what points can you get you:

• snacks (sodas, candy, chips) 3 points
• Hats, shirts, or hoodies 30-50 points

Points will also be earned through Academy & Schoolwide Incentive Programs! Keep Reading School Emails and listening for announcements on how you can earn more points!

Beanstack is accessible through ClassLink. The ClassLink "link" is located on www.burrolibrary.com

Login into ClassLink and search "Beanstack".

Rising 9th Graders can join the Nashville Public Library Beanstack Summer Challenge and then join in Mid-July to Hillsboro's summer reading. I have access to verify your summer reading when you are officially promoted as a Hillsboro Student.

Once you have accessed Beanstack from the Classlink Page you will be prompted to Link Profile and create an account.

Select "Create New Account" and then "Confirm Sync"

Then you are ready to start the "Summer Reading Challenge"!

Start logging your reading on May 16th!

To create or update your Nashville Public Library Beanstack account, go to nashville.beanstack.org.

If you prefer to not use Beanstack, you may print a reading log or pick one up at various locations in Nashville. Logs will be available to students attending MNPS Promising Scholars.

Grand Prize Drawings

At the end of Summer Reading, each library location will have a drawing for a $150 gift card to a local bookstore.
