Class Placement Reminder
Reminder from Mrs. Parker ⚓💙
Hi Beck Viking Families!
As mentioned in detail in the Viking Vibes two weeks ago, we’re already thoughtfully planning for next year’s classroom placements. Our team carefully considers many factors to create balanced, supportive learning environments for all students.
While we welcome your input about the kind of learning environment that best supports your child, please remember that we cannot accept requests for specific teachers or friends.
Thank you for your continued support—let’s finish this year strong! 🏁📚
With Viking pride,
Mrs. Parker

Attention Drivers!
Please, for the SAFETY of yourself and our precious Beck students, do NOT turn left on to Hayes road at arrival or dismissal. Spending a bit more time to turn right and go SAFELY around the roundabout (intersection of 25 and Hayes) is a small price to pay to keep your children safe. Turning left on Hayes at that time is unsafe. Do not turn left. Please. You may have also noticed that the Macomb Township Police Department has been hanging around a bit at dismissal and has pulled some of our left turning drivers over. So please, don't turn left. We all love our little Beck Vikings and want them safe at all times.
Character Strong Focus
Smart Watches are not allowed to be worn in school.
Please review the policy regarding technology in schools. It states, "The personal use of non-school issues cell phones or other electronic communication devices (ECDs) by students is prohibited at any time while in school or in a district vehicle." It also states, "Elementary Students may bring a device to school, but the device must remain in their backpacks or locker area."
To prevent theft, many students at Beck drop off their cell phone in the office for safe keeping throughout the day.
No one should be wearing a Smart Watch at all. They can stay in backpacks. Smart watches are becoming a problem as students are beginning to text each other, take pictures, etc. This is a disruption to learning which is why time was spent developing rules for ECDs. Students are here to learn. Even a text from mom or dad is a distraction to the important brain work that is happening here at Beck. If you need to tell your child something before they get home, call the office at (586) 797-3900 and we will deliver the message for you.
Our kiddos already have enough technology in their lives. Let's give them the break they desperately need from their personal devices during the school day. Like cell phones, smart watches can stay in their backpack if you feel they have to have them in school.
Community Offerings
Eisenhower High School's Leadership Programs are planning a fundraiser for Saturday, May 31 to fund our Leadership initiatives at IKE and our Junior Eagle program that serves our feeder elementary schools.
IKE Market will be from 8 AM - 1 PM on Saturday, May 31. It will function like a mass garage sale for the community in the Eisenhower Parking lot.
To reserve a spot... Visit: https://forms.office.com/Pages/ResponsePage.aspx?id=aOI-uaQawUGz37nrhmVnJVHh9g-gQeBIr5xRy2u6QTdUQjE2SUtLNEVVWEtCMDlGUkxRTFVRNFNHSy4u
2 spots (1 for your car and one for your market "store front" is $45.00). All of the shopping will happen in the main lot of Eisenhower. We have food trucks who have signed on to provide some food for customers to stroll and shop with. Anyone is welcome. We are looking for vendors of Mom to Mom Items, traditional garage sale wares, and we are even hoping to have some small private businesses join us. A furniture "flipper" would be a great idea to add to the event.
Guests coming to shop will be charge $2 per car to park and visit all of our vendors.
At the end of the sale, a Vietnam Veterans Donation truck will be on site to take away any items that you would like to donate rather than taking them back to your home.
We will have assistants on hand to help you set up, carry boxes, even watch your booth while you do a little shopping of your own! This should be a great community event!
All of the money raised will go to supporting out Leadership Theories and Concepts Curriculum. This class works to build and promote events that create a welcoming, supportive and fun climate at Eisenhower High School. It also will support our presence in our feeder elementary schools as a part of our Junior Eagle program!
