Here's the latest updates on March Madness as well as the Sign Up Genius for our Feb 17th fundraiser.

The draft of the March Madness fundraiser was sent out this week. We have 9 days left to fill on the calendar. Please let Miss Pelletier know if you know of any businesses that would like to donate to finish these days. I would like to get this filled by the end of the week, so students can start selling them on Monday (2/5). Miss Pelletier also sent a Sign Up Genius for selling concessions at the community Corn Hole Tournament on Feb 17th from 10AM - 2 PM.

The 8th grade students are scheduled to have a tour/presentation at Erskine Academy on Thursday, February 1st. They will be leaving CMS at 9:20 and returning at 11:50. They will be provided a free lunch at Erskine. A-la-carte items are available to students if they bring cash.

As a reminder, Erskine's Open House for FAMILIES is Wednesday, February 28th. The snow date is Thursday, February 29th.

Hello Neighbors-

I wanted to reach out to give you a heads up Winslow High School is planning our Class of 2028 Family Information Night and tours on February 7 (snow date Feb. 12). We will have a spaghetti meal at 5:30 and the informational meeting at 6:10. I will be getting additional information to you soon but I wanted you all to have the date and time to share with your families now.

The American Heritage Tour is a week-long trip for 8th Graders offered through the Alfond Youth Community Center. Students and Chaperones explore historical sites throughout New York, Pennsylvania, Washington D.C., Virginia, and Boston. This trip is not affiliated China Middle School or RSU 18. Please contact the Alfond Youth Center with any inquiries about this trip.

Planning ahead:

Cereal drive: 2/5-2/16 For the two weeks leading up to February break, send in boxes of cereal with your student. All donations go to China Food Pantry because hunger doesn’t take a break. The grand finale will be the biggest cereal box dominoes we can make. Can we beat last year? Let’s make it happen!!

Read-a-thon: 3/25-4/5 – Fundraise and then read, read, read! A prize will be awarded to the classroom with the most time spent reading during this event! Emails and information will be coming out soon.
