We are in the midst of a wonderful Advent season at Saint John School!
Our Twinkle Tuesdays have been a great success, and we have one more to go.
This Friday (Thursday for PK3), our kiddos get to experience the joy that comes from giving while shopping at our Santa's Workshop. Thank you to everyone who has worked hard all year long to make this day special.
There is more fun to come this weekend and next week, with Victorian Christmas, Caroling, and more.
Contact Main Office if interested in helping with Caroling Day on Thursday 12/19 at 12:15 p.m.
IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT AFTER SCHOOL CARE: The After School Care Program will close at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, 12/17 for the Faculty/Staff Christmas Party.
Enjoy the joys of the season!
Sincerely in Christ,

Jubilee 2025 - Pilgrims of Hope
Jubilee 2025 - Pilgrims of Hope
Pope Francis has chosen the motto, "Pilgrims of Hope" for the Jubilee , and encourages all the faithful "to be tangible signs of hope".
Luce is the Vatican's official mascot for the 2025 Jubilee. Luce translates to "light" from Italian and represents the Catholic pilgrim. Her outfit is supposed to represent the Vatican flag and "the journey through life's storms."
Our diocese has many exciting things planned for the year and we will be sending home prayer cards and leaflets with more information.
- The first will be the Opening Mass on December 29, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament in Altoona.
- Please let the Main Office know by Friday, December 13, if your family plans to attend this Mass, as you could join our school banner in the procession.
In addition to the DAJ Pilgrimage to Washington D.C. on October 17, 2025, individuals of all ages are invited to use the Pilgrim's Passport from December 29, 2024 to September 8, 2025.
The Pilgrim's Passport includes 13 Holy Site Churches named by Bishop Mark, as well as every church in our diocese. Use this passport to "get on the road" over the coming months and enjoy the beauty, warmth, and strength of rich history of our diocese. You might just win one of two over night packages or special gift cards.
- If you would like a copy of the Pilgrim's Passport, please let the Main Office know by Monday, December 16.
