Lester Park School Newsletter #31
March 28, 2024
Hello from the Front Desk!
I'm going to ignore the 15+ inches of snow out there and keep with our spring theme for this newsletter background! We hope you all stayed safe and warm during the snowstorm. I saw lots of kids out having fun playing in the snow. My dogs also loved the snow. Me...not so much, especially by day 3!

Important MCA Testing Information
3rd-5th Graders will participate in the annual MCA testing the week before and after Spring Break.
5th Graders will also have a few more testing dates the two weeks after this (during the week of April 29 and May 6).
Please pay close attention to emails from your child's teacher about their testing dates and times, as classrooms cannot be disrupted once a testing session has begun!
If a parent drops off their 3rd-5th grader late and MCA testing has started...
Office staff will email the teacher, then hold the student in the office until we hear from the teacher that he/she can go to the classroom. This may result in the student waiting over an hour in the office.
If a parent comes to pick up their 3rd-5th grader during their scheduled MCA testing time...
Office staff will NOT call for the student. We will email the teacher to let them know a parent is here to pick the child up. The parent can then choose to wait in the vestibule or leave as it may take quite awhile before the student can leave the classroom.
Most of the testing will be done during the morning. So if you have a morning appointment scheduled for your child, it would be a good idea to give your child's teacher a heads up. Again this is only for 3rd - 5th Grade. Thank you ~Lester Park Office
