Wrapping up the School Year
Hello Pirates!
Did you ever doubt this week would come? Well, here we are, the last week of school! You made it! All the homework is done! All the grades are in! We have three and a half days to enjoy each other before we are off to summer!
Students who like snacks will want to bring their money this week. We will have concessions tomorrow and Wednesday for the basketball and volleyball games and we will also selling drinks at the 8th grade park day from 11-1. Items will either be $1 or $2.
Here is what our final days look like:
Monday, May 20
7th grade duty week
8:10ish - Minico graduating seniors walk
9:10 - 6th grade locker clean-out
9:25 - 7th grade locker clean-out
9:40 - 8th grade locker clean-out
2:45 - Begin to dismiss students to gym for staff vs student volleyball game
*Concessions will be available to purchase on the way into the gym (provided by PTO)
3:00-3:45 - Student vs. Staff Volleyball Game
Tuesday, May 21
Mt. Harrison graduation tonight!
8th grade swim trip - 8:30 - 2:45ish
*There will be no swimming at the swim trip due to the pool being closed.
*Drinks will be for sale at the park - provided by the PTO
2 Advisory activities:
A. PowderPuff volleyball in gym
B. Cross Country high school coach meeting with those interested in Cross Country next year!
Wednesday, May 22
Student hamburger BBQ for lunches - all students eat outside
2:45 - dismiss students to gym for student vs staff basketball game
*concessions available on the way to gym - provided to PTO
3:00 - Student vs Staff Basketball Game
Thursday, May 23
Start day in advisory
8:15ish - excuse students for grade-level assemblies - 6th in commons, 7th in auditorium, 8th in gym
10:30ish - dismiss 1st lunch students to get grab 'n go lunch - picnic on back lawn
10:45ish - dismiss 2nd lunch students to get grab 'n go lunch - picnic on back lawn
11:25 - Allow students back in the building - go to advisory
11:30 - dismiss for school dance/movie in auditorium
1:00 - SCHOOL'S OUT FOR THE SUMMER! (Cue the Alice Cooper music)
Friday, May 24 - Monday, August 19th
Sleep in, go swimming, lounge in the sun, don't do homework, hang with friends, binge TV shows, drink lemonade, learn a new skill, brush up on hobbies, read a book, road trips, picnics, play with the dog, go camping, eat ice cream, have a BBQ, go hiking, what did I leave out?
