As a reminder, any change to the default end of day dismissal must be received by 3:00. Changes after this time cause confusion in the dismissal process. If you are picking your child up early, this must be done by 3:30.

Our Color Craze is back and will be happening on Saturday, September 14 @ 1:00 pm. Cost is $15 per student. For an additional fee you can also add on a Color Craze t-shirt ($10) and/or a Color Craze water bottle ($5). To join us in the fun, please follow the link to School Pay to fill out the permission slip and purchase your ticket. Proceeds from this amazing event support our PE program.

Picture day is coming up on Thursday, September 19. If you are free and would like to volunteer we would love to have some help. Duties entail making sure children look their best and helping keep classes moving smoothly through the process. If you are interested in helping, please reach out to the front office at 907-864-2100.

We are excited to announce our first movie night of the year - Finding Nemo! This event is being hosted by the library and the proceeds will directly support our school library activities.

Date: Friday, Sep. 20

Time: After school - 6:00 pm pick up

Cost: $10 per student

Tickets must be purchased by Wednesday, Sep. 18 to ensure we can order the right amount of pizza. Ticket includes one slice of pizza, bottle of water, popcorn and a snack/sweet treat.

If you are willing to donate to this event, see below for requested items:

• Kindergarten - Paper plates and napkins
• First - Bottles of water
• Second - Goldfish crackers
• Third/Fourth - Sweet treats
• Fifth - Popcorn kernels

Popcorn Friday is back and in full swing! We are still needing parent volunteers on 9/13 and 9/27 to help pop and serve popcorn. Help is needed from morning drop off time until about 1:30pm.

We hold PTO meetings on the first Tuesday of the month in the library after school at 4:00pm. We hope to see you at our next meeting on October 1!

Reminder to parents. Please refrain from sending your student to school with a pocket of cough drops.

The results from the Spring 2024 AK STAR and Alaska Science administration are now available for you to view in ParentVUE if your child tested in Mat-Su in spring 2024. Directions on how to view these reports are attached as well as the Family Guide to Assessment Reports. If your child tested in another district in Alaska in spring 2024, you will need to contact the previous district for results.
