From the Principal
Over the past few weeks, students completed their Reading and Math MAP assessments. Additionally, our English Learner students have taken the ACCESS assessment. Teachers are carefully analyzing student growth and achievement to ensure they continue providing the best possible education for every student. We are incredibly proud of our students for their hard work, perseverance, and dedication to reaching their academic goals.
Teachers are looking forward to discussing your child’s mid-year progress with you during parent-teacher conferences on Wednesday, February 12, and Thursday, February 13. These conferences provide a valuable opportunity for collaboration between home and school, which plays a vital role in student success.
Looking ahead, Medinah Middle School students and staff are preparing for the Illinois Assessment of Readiness (IAR), which will take place on March 24, 25 and 26. Practice Tests can be found at https://il.digitalitemlibrary.com/home. We will continue to share updates about this assessment in the coming weeks.
Preparations are underway for the class of 2025. We are looking for volunteers to help with planning the 8th Grade Banquet. If you are interested, please contact Lisa Mondo at lmondo@medinah11.org. If we exceed the number of the volunteer requirement, we will randomly select names. Please contact Lisa by Wednesday, February 5th.
As always, please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or concerns. We appreciate your continued partnership in your child’s education!
