After-School Intervention Available for 6th and 7th Grade
Shortly after our fall break, we will start after school intervention groups for our 6th and 7th graders. Our teachers, trained in intervention programs, will run these groups.
Groups will consist of 4-5 students and run during our study table session. Students who participate will work 30 minutes in their small group with the teacher and then spend the other 30 minutes studying or completing classwork.
Students will be scheduled one day per week from 2:20-3:20 pm. Bussing home is available.
If your student would benefit from additional math and reading support, please review the qualification factors below:
Students who are not currently enrolled in an intervention group during the school day (these students are already receiving the same intervention program we will be using after school)
Students who can consistently commit to attending after school Tuesday or Thursday (one day per week)
Students who are struggling with math and/or reading
Spots are limited. If you are interested in reserving a spot for your student, please complete this form by Friday, November 1, and someone will contact you with more information.
8th Grade Intervention: Learning Labs
8th-grade students have an amazing opportunity to enroll in a Learning Lab (math or reading) as one of their encore classes and receive intervention support from their certified teacher and a trained interventionist.
If you or your student is interested in this class, please contact the building Principal, Courtney MacDonald or counselor, Jacob Ray.
Support Our Community: SLC Food Drive
Our Student Leadership Council (SLC) is hosting a food drive, and we invite all students and families to participate! Please consider donating non-perishable food items, which will be distributed locally to support those in need in our community.
The drive begins on Monday, Nov. 4, and runs through Thursday, Nov. 14. Let’s come together to make a difference!
Accessing School Apps and Parent Canvas Accounts
Student Email and Login Information:
- Student email addresses follow this format: Graduating year, last name, first initial @students.csredhawks.org (Example: 30SmithJ@students.csredhawks.org).
- Student passwords are typically: cs + 6-digit student number (Example: cs151515).
- For any questions regarding this information, please contact the office.
6th/7th Graders:
If students are trying to access school apps from home on a personal device (not a school-issued Chromebook), they need to log out of any personal Gmail accounts first. Then, they can log into their student Gmail account with their regular login credentials to access apps like Canvas, Clever, and PowerSchool.
8th Graders:
Students with school-issued Chromebooks can log in with their normal credentials. Once logged in, they’ll automatically have Single Sign-On access to apps like Canvas, Clever, and PowerSchool.
Parents:
Did you know you can set up a Parent Observer account in Canvas? This allows you to track your student’s progress. Follow the How to set up Canvas Account instructions to create your account.
