Please be sure to read all Student Square messages regarding rehearsal dates for A Cappella (3rd period). 📅 All outside class rehearsals and clinician information will be included in the newsletter and updated on the choir calendar.

Attention all Tenor Bass singers from 1st, 3rd, and 5th period Choirs:
CISD Tenor Bass sectionals will be held on January 13th-15th. Please see the schedule below to confirm which voice part rehearses on which day.

Concert Date:
The concert will be on January 28th in the CHS Auditorium at 6:00 p.m. 🎶

UIL Rehearsals – Important Dates 📅

Please see the flyers below for upcoming before/after school UIL rehearsals. These rehearsals are essential as we prepare for the upcoming competition, so be sure to mark your calendars!

UIL Region 31 Solo Contest – Important Info 🎤

The UIL Region 31 Solo Contest will be held on January 25, 2025 at Coppell High School.

All students who completed the competition sign-up Google Form in December have been officially registered. Directors will be sending out a Student Square message with additional details about the competition soon, so be sure to watch for that!

This semester is going to be packed with rehearsals, competitions, and concerts — there’s so much to look forward to! 🎤🎶 Be sure to read through the entire newsletter so you don’t miss any important details. 📅

o qualify to purchase a letter jacket, you must have collected 20 points from the letter qualifying chart below. If you have accumulated the required 20 points and would like to purchase a jacket, please email Mrs. Coogle with the completed document, ensuring the school year is written in the far left column.

Please note: Students will be responsible for paying for the jacket. Please see the price chart below for the cost.

If you're unsure whether you qualify, go ahead and email Mrs. Coogle anyway. It's better to have your name on the list, even if you end up not purchasing the jacket, than to not have it on the list and miss the opportunity to order later.

Deadline: All emails must be received by January 8, 2025, so Mrs. Coogle can add your name to the Choir letter list for the company.

SRF Monthly Quizzes

You will take a monthly SRF quiz at the end of every month. This will be a Performance Tasks

Grade. You only get 2 tries so be sure that your wifi connection is good and your audio sound is

on. You have the entire month to take the quiz. Every month’s quiz will be due on the LAST

FRIDAY of the month at 10PM. NO LATE SUBMISSIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED.

SRF Practice Log

Each singer is expected to practice sight reading on SRF for 10 minutes per week (2 minutes

each day of the week) and 40 minutes per month. This will be a completion grade. SRF will

keep track of all your practice log data. We will give one Performance Tasks monthly SRF

Practice Log each month. Please be sure to practice SRF weekly. Each week will start on SUNDAY and end on SATURDAY.
